I know that this has been asked countless times but since I am visiting Japan next week, I have been looking for some dating apps to try out. I have only tried tinder, OkCupid and japancupid though most of those that showed interest in my profile are those that does not reply or milfs.

Those are the core apps that are useful in Japan.
You can give Skout a whirl, but I think that's going to be the bottom of the barrel.

A fair amount of profiles out there are fishing expeditions for various purposes other than actual dating.

We've seen some baited, hooked and almost scammed a local bar.

Other profiles out there are trying to get followers for their Instagram accounts while others are just straight up escorts trying to bait you into their service by pretending to be a normal person looking for a date.

And please don't ever believe someone if they say they'll meet you if you can help them out by providing a gift code (Apple Store, Google Play, Amazon, etc.) before the meeting.

I guess I will just keep it within those 3 apps for now and be on alert to not get scammed.

Though I would personally prefer the escort to straight up try to offer their service than to try and bait me to it.
