LOL Since when are asians seen as the pinnacle of beauty? there's hardly any in hollywood and celebs aren't marrying one.

correction: moment of silence of everyone who is not white is probably the more accurate statement.
Ummm.... I was just making a tongue in cheek comment about “western” people being depicted as blonde white people almost all the time, whereas in reality when we slowly move to “west” from East Asia we see a diverse group of people.

I absolutely wasn’t referring to attractiveness as I myself am an ethnic caucasian........ I’m actually mortified that my comment was warped into the “whiteness is the pinnacle of beauty” narrative.

Also could there be almost no Asians in Hollywood because only a small percentage of Americans are of Asian origin and diversity in Hollywood is a pretty new concept?

no need to be mortified. as brilliantly illustrated by Sudsy, the guy just didn’t get the joke

Apologies, it went wayyy over my head. Due to the common racist drivel I come across from people in relation to their "conquests" when they visited or lived in asia I thought differently.

small percentage? if you say that to asian american actors and actresses they will laugh at you. As proven by the hacked Sony emails in the past Hollywood doesn't like casting a lot of minorities in movies. If they cast more than one asian then it will be a kung foo movie. quote from them not me.

Daniel kim in all his years acting never got a role where he is in a relationship until the show LOST where he did his first on screen kiss. After that nothing changed never got another role like that.

Steven Yeun publicly said he could get another job acting after the walking dead because no one wants to cast an asian.

I can go on and on but I don't want to derail the thread apologies again for my mistake.

On a different level, it reminds me of Mongolian girls that I have met - they look incredibly fit, as if they could jump on a horse and invade Europe at a moment's notice.
They're passionate fucks too.

thats where I think streaming is going to kill the old Hollywood system. Not the only reason of course but one of them. I feel there are more minorities on Netflix etc series than in traditional movies

Except Daniel Kim and Steven Yeun both continue to work in film and TV even after Lost or TWD. Asian American actors being a minority has nothing to do with attractiveness as you put it, "since when are asians seen as the pinnacle of beauty? there's hardly any in hollywood and celebs aren't marrying one." It's because they're not marketable.

White people aren't the pinnacle of beauty, there's hardly any in Japan cinema and Japanese celebrities aren't marrying one.

yes and come to think of it its unfair
We should petition Japanese movie companies to include more whites
Notably in porn

And notably male, for gender equality.

I think Steven Yeun is a cutie. I was a big Maggie & Glenn shipper. :( :(

Negan is a b***h.

Steven Yeun has't gotten much work at all. He has done many interviews talking about how he isn't getting offers for roles because he's asian. He had to go to asia to get something.

https://geeksofcolor.co/2017/02/01/steven-yeun-should-not-be-auditoning-for-5-line-roles/

technically you're right if by still continue to "work" Steven did a small commercial playing a stereotypical asian male then sure....

Daniel Kim even talked about his issues. said he got lucky with Hawaii 5-0 after LOST but after Hawaii 5-0 (which he left because found out he was getting paid less than the white actors and actresses) had to make his own studio and show or else he probably would have gotten much work at all. Also his role in Hawaii 5-0 wasn't like his role in LOST as I said.

.Daniel Kim filmography, Steven Yeun filmography. Steven's picked up a lot of work in animated TV shows after TWD including working on a Bong Joon Ho project, the director of Parasite. He had a pretty good year recently with Sorry To Bother You (2018) and Burning (2018) and he's been cast for Amazon's Invincible (another superhero show adapted from comics like The Boys). Daniel Kim also delved into animation, TV shows, video games and the Hellboy movie. Their statements are about how little Asians are represented in Hollywood which is true, but they have both clearly found work after their breakthrough. If an actor can't find work because they are essentially contract hires, there's nothing stopping them from getting a more stable job. In fact, not working is the usual actor's gig lol.

Seems a little privileged of them when they're probably the most well-known Asian Americans in the industry. There are probably hundreds of no-name Asian actors who can barely get work as an extra or a guy with one line of dialogue.

Wouldn't even have to pay as I'd work "pro-boner" for that. :p

They say it takes 10.000 hours to master anything. If you think about the amount of time I have spend being blue balled in this life then my boner should be at least pro level.

C'mon, before you ever get blue balls, there will be always an empathetic spinner (with nice F cups) around the corner giving you a mercy bj.
