I'm dutch and in dutch culture 'going dutch' is the way to go. I've read online that japanese women view guys that split the bill as stingy or no economic power. That may be true but most japanese women earn more than enough to pay for themselves IMO.

Not splitting the bill means that you are paying for sex.

There's nothing wrong with this, but if a woman expects me to always pay, she is definitely not a keeper.
