I realize this is an older thread, but maybe an update of Motown is in order. As for the ladyboys, I have been here four times in the past three weeks on weekends and haven't spotted a single one. I have a lot of experience with ladyboys (yes, that kind), and I think I know how to spot them. Maybe things have changed.
The prostitutes are a different matter. The place is crawling with them, especially late at night. On Saturday, I was there until 4 and half the girls in the place at that time were working girls. I was with my friend, who is a Chinese girl, and I was pointing out to her which ones were on the clock. They are really obvious. They usually sit alone or with another girl and they look bored unless they're hitting some guy up for drinks. They make eye contact way too easily and will strike up conversations a lot quicker than the regular girls will.
