FAQ For "Adult" Visitors To Japan (Read Me Before Posting)

@MikeH
This would be a case on conflicting rights and I would rank the right of the woman (or man) on their own body higher than the right to not be discriminated by race, religion, ...

And obviously there exist services where discrimination has a more direct and severe impact than a barber, but imagine being in Shinjuku and the next store/restaurant/barber etc. that serves you is in Mitaka or Kawasaki?

Also, i think its really grand that guys on TAG get so upset about gaijin tax or shops refusing them, but all the time i read stuff like "i only want to meet Japanese girls" or "i will pay more for Japanese providers than Chinese providers".

I agree, which is why my remarks were towards @MikeH's comment about other services where he felt it was ok to discriminate against. ;-)

You are not even disagreeing with me in the main point which is that it is OK to be racist sometimes. We just draw the line in a different place.

The deeper point, if there is one, is that we all still treat escort work differently than other work. As long as we do this, categorise work in two different categories, the "other" people will continue to discriminate against escorts and their customers.

Or have you ever heard people say "he is not a real man, he needs to pay someone to make his meal" or "she should not be making food for random people only for people she loves".:p:D

What is confusing about that? It is always much nicer to be the racist than to be discriminated against.:p

Its double standards.

Once you all insist on paying Chinese girls in Japan the same as J girls with similar beauty, maybe the gaijin tax will also disappear:D

Of course it is! :p

I pay all the girls whose services I use what they ask regardless of race, beauty or any other discriminating factors. If a stunning spinner asks 5.000 yens I will pay that but also will make sure she has a home to go afterwards. Because I am such a nice guy.

Gaijin tax will disappear when people stop paying it. Meanwhile it is just good business practise to separate fools from their monies.

I don't think this sort of "discrimination" in Japan is originating from foreigners. If Chinese girls would/could work in the higher end shops, they would also generate higher rates. They just mainly work in the lower end of shops and this probably has very little to do with gaijin here.

You see all those posts here like "are the girls at this shop really Japanese???"
"I'm only looking for Japanese girls"
And blablabla

Plus its cute you try to pass this off as Japanese guys thinking Chinese girls are inferior, but in the States and Canada there are also Chinese providers who have to pretend they are Japanese so they can charge higher rates and get more attention.

I think in Japan it's the Japanese and not the foreigners making the market.
I can't speak for the US, but where I come from it is pretty widely known that Japanese providers are in 99% if cases Chinese. Unlike what you insist there is also no difference in price point between chinese, Thai, filipina or Japanese (yes, the rare japanese provider exists). This may differ for Paris or London, I wouldn't know.

The situation in Japan has much more to do with the local market and how those providers get in the country.

That doesn't mean that there aren't foreigners who for whatever reason tunnel on Japanese, but at least in my opinion this has very little impact on the situation of Chinese or other Asian providers in Japan. I never said guys with this preference don't exist.

As for your original point, there exist shops with similar price points as the Chinese massage joints with Japanese, though it's usually not incall. Beauty btw is not the only factor in setting a price point. Working in a very run down place or speaking next to no Japanese or English isn't helpful.
I think you also overestimate the number of guy who would pay significant premium for an otherwise similar experience just because the girl is Japanese and not Chinese, especially among those regular on this board/in this country.

Different subject, but is there a place to ask for reviews? Can I post saying "Has anyone seen SexyHanako18?" -- even if she doesn't advertise on this site?

Thanks for the info. Being a Chinese American who's got a lot of tattoos, makes me hesitant on even trying soaplands, afraid me being turned down. In addition to my options here on TAG9(if they accept my requests), would girls from [Redacted #24] basically walk out on the booking after they see the tattoos?

Soaplands are not the same as regular hot springs. They don't ban people with tattoos and most girls are used to it and don't mind unless you look really scary, i suppose.
As for [Redacted #24], they are used to dealing with foreigners so its likely not the first time they see someone with tattoos and they wont think you're Japanese mafia..

Don't sweat it. Your tattoos almost certainly aren't going to be an issue - friends of mine who have full bodysuit tattoos have zero problems in most shops. There are some shops that don't allow tattooed people, but they're relatively rare.

From what I see from [Redacted #24], all I see are Japanese women—where is the mixed batch you speak of? Lol
Uh, look closer. They have a literal mix...
anyway, discuss that somewhere else please. This isn't the place for it.

gonna be visiting japan in a few weeks but going to Osaka and was wondering if there any English/foreigner friendly (if there is such a thing) swinger clubs (I can speak a little Japanese but probably not enough to get by in that situation) or places to pick up women, you get bonus points the closer it is to Morishoji

Dude, the fact that you even know where Morishouji is already paints the picture of a potentially very sad itinerary. How in the hell did you come across that place? I'm assuming you're staying with a friend who got placed there? A NOVA teacher, perhaps? JET, maybe?

I am VERY familiar with Morishouji, sad to say, and while it's been many years since I haunted those streets, if you haven't yet embarked on your trip then I can definitely give you some advice.

Morishouji is a local stop on the Keihan Line, which runs from downtown Osaka up to north Kyoto. There is nothing--I repeat, NOTHING--to do in Morishouji. It is a cookie-cutter little suburb where you will probably see a unicorn before a white person. The closest thing to having fun would be to wander around the Sembayashi (the name of the city that contains Morishouji) shopping tunnel, which is a few minutes walk from the station, but unless your objective is to try picking up 75yo housewives on bicycles you won't find much to do in there. The closest nearby "city" is Moriguchi/Kadoma a couple miles to the north, where Panasonic National HQ is basically the only thing in town, or Kyobashi Station, a couple miles to the south. Kyobashi is next to the Osaka Business Park and Osaka Castle, and this is probably as close as you're getting to a big city in the vicinity.

If you're not willing to make the trip to Umeda or Shinsaibashi/Namba, then Kyobashi is as good as it gets. I don't recall any actual clubs, but they do have lots of bars and the occasional foreigner wandering around (probably an employee at the nearby NOVA or ECC) and you won't be gawked at like you will be when walking through Sembayashi. There's actually a HUB bar near the station, so that'll probably be your best bet at finding some desperate 30-something neurotic office secretary itching to grab her ankles for a white guy because she's been roundly rejected (or used and tossed) by all the Japanese male managers in her office and she's given up hope of getting married or having a family. I actually meet up with some gaijin friends in Kyobashi when I return to Osaka, if only to reminisce about some of the drunken adventures we had there back when we had real hope and hairlines.

If you're willing to make the half-hour commute, however, I would HIGHLY recommend you make your way to Umeda or Shinsaibashi/Namba, which are in entirely different categories. From Morishouji, you can walk to the Sembayashi-Omiya station of the Tanimachi subway line, which will take you to Umeda. Or you can jump on the Keihan, head down to Yodoyabashi Station, transfer to the red Midousuji subway and you're a few stops from Namba.

Particularly in Namba, you'll find just about every flavor of club, hub, pub and freakshow you can think of, with tons of gaijin bars full of slightly prettier (than in Kyobashi) 30-something neurotic and usually emotionally-damaged Japanese women who've probably had more foreigners in them than the international terminal at Narita Airport. You'll find these skanks drunkenly flailing around on the dance floors of clubs where half the men are either Brazilian or Nigerian (but claiming to be American) and a classy dame like this will have no qualms about tossing you a sloppy hump in the alley behind the Blarneystone before staggering back in, puking all over the pool table, possibly urinating in her pants and then managing to hail a cab to take her back to her lonely 1DK flat in Morishouji.

Good luck with the trip.
