I got a few private messages with questions from some people and I would like to post a summary of my responses here since it is more useful for everyone and they were basically asking about the same thing (I asked for their permission to post here and I am removing personal details and mixing the responses):

Q: Any advice for a couple interested in the peeping and playing in a private room but not necessarily ready to engage physically with others or have others watch us?
A: At first hand it sounds like it would be hard to find a place in which you can both look at others having sex and also do it yourselves without being seen, but actually there are options and even Voluptuous could work for that. The playroom is pretty dim and the peeking stalls are dark, so the people having sex in the playroom can't really see what is going on inside the booths. So, one option could be for your partner and you to make love inside one booth while peeking at the action of the playroom. Do know, however, that these booths are very small and there is only a curtain covering their entrance. So, it is very common to be interrupted by someone who also wants to take a peek at the playroom since it is hard to know whether they are being used or not without opening the curtain. I myself interrupted a couple having oral sex (I closed it at once but it seemed to me like they were two men... not that is relevant but I think I read that some establishments are stricter about it). I also saw another couple in which the man was fingering the woman inside the booth. When I was peeking with my own girl, someone opened the curtain on us too so... it happens 😅
On the other hand, the main playroom has a white curtain dividing a small section of the room for couples who want to be able to get some more exposure than the booths (you can be seen a little more than inside the booths and also hear more directly the people playing right next to you) while still being less exposed than in the main playroom. Behind this curtain it is harder to make clear details like faces or body shapes of those who are there. What I found awkward is that in order to get to that small private section you have to cross the whole playroom (see diagram in the image attached, the private area are X, and the peeking booths are P), so you have to plan your timing well. Also, the staff of the place goes every so often to change the towels used by couples inside the playroom, and they are fully clothed so you may want to keep in mind that they may also see you... (they are in work mindset, though).
Overall, my advice is to really talk it out with your girl and figure if this is something you guys truly want to try. I think it is totally possible to just go, keep your clothes on, and spy on other couples who are more comfortable with public nudity. If you do decide to make love yourselves, you both need to be ready in case you are accidentally seen even if for a short second. I'd definitely say that you shouldn't force it. It is totally okay to just go, see, talk about it, and maybe go back home or to a hotel and have a good time just the two of you. Talk, talk, talk, and see how you both are reacting to things. Do not try to force anything or you may end up disappointed.
Lastly, although I do not recall the names, I know there are also happening bars that have private playing rooms, so you don't get to peek, but you also don't have to worry about being peeked on. That may also work, though in that case... might as well use the money for a good hotel, no?
Q: What was the feeling of seeing other people having sex for the first time?
A: Like I said in my original review, I didn't think much about it since porn is so ubiquitous and I myself am no stranger to sex (you can say it... "this guy fucks!" 🤓 🤣). My main thought was that watching normal people having sex is much less of a turn on than what we thought it would be. Porn is literally designed to look good all the time and to make you horny, the focus in on overstimulating your senses, plus normally when you watch it, you are already in the mood or wanting to get there. But normal people just fuck in many different ways and not all of them will be equally enticing. Personally, my girl and I got really turned on watching a couple who weren't very physically attractive but who clearly had great chemistry with one another (later we found out they had been married for many years). But then whatever fire watching them lit on us, was put off by other couples who clearly were in a different mindset. At the risk of going into too many details, imagine a woman staring blankly at a roof looking sad while being done in missionary, or a drunk individual attempting to sing a song totally out of tune while having intercourse... those to me were dick deflators but each person is different so who knows... We saw a couple who entered the playroom and the guy just couldn't get hard at all. He and I got to talk a bit later in the day and he told me that it was also their first time and he thought it would be hot to be in the playroom but he actually ended up feeling a lot of pressure being seen, especially when there were so many things happening at once. He also said that it is probably a good idea to avoid alcohol.

I am sure that more tenured people can speak deeper about these and other topics or correct me if I am wrong. I for once am interested in learning what happens after you keep going, and what is the process of getting used to and eventually aroused by the environment... Maybe I will give it a second chance, but since my girl does not want to go again, I think my experience would be totally different... For the time being, my girl and I have been focusing our desire for adventure in other ways (plenty of new toys in the house!) and are pretty satisfied as of now. Life is long and as long as you are still enjoying there is no need to try to force anything.
