Like 20 years ago, kids would sometimes yell at me "Gaijin da!".

It never happens anymore.
Have they become more educated? Have I turned Japanese?

What's your take?
What's your experience?

"Too many" foreigners so it's not "interesting" anymore? Do the kids shout "baka gaijin da!" instead? LOL

I don't look like a foreigner (Caucasian) so no experience at all, unless I open my mouth.

Used to happen to me on regular basis... Back in the 90's... And if u were in smaller city... Maybe possible now if remote location... But not in Tokyo... So many gaijin living and tourists... No longer surprise...
Sometimes the attention was nice but usually it was annoying AF... Unless kids ..yeah I know the OP said kids but I used to get from adults too..
One time I was mistaken for Actor... I didn't correct them... Just stood and smiled as they took pics... :D

From my experience, the usual comments I get on the street aren't about my ethnicity so much as a few other features that tend to stick out more, so to speak..

I never noticed it myself. 186cm, white and living in Nagoya. A few stares but nothing crazy. Everyone here is living in their own bubble and don't really care.

I guess I am not that interesting to Japanese people. As I am Japanese descendant (nikkei) both parents are Japanese I look so Japanese. But it happened in some countries in Latin America. Mostly in countries were Japanese descendants are rare. For example in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, kids stare at me as I am an alien from out of space. Some yelled at me: "Chino, chino!!!" (Chinese guy! Chinese guy!)

I used to date a Mexican guy who would call me “Chinita”, meaning little Chinese girl. It was cute, but so inaccurate. Lol. I’m half Latina and never understood why we, in general, call all Asians Chinese.

Haha,,,I guess Japanese people, kids, got more experienced!

But nowadays, it's the opposit,

"mmm, hot Japanese girl!!"

I receive lots flirty hot glance from our European staffs,.Japanese staffs in my office. I have pretty much outstanding confident personality, long legs, big boobs, big hips curvey body, nice skin, silky hair, hot kissable, fuckable lips!!! It's welcome, for being stared, long eye contact,,,,

I guess we Japanese girls get more attention by gaikokujin these days.

Whenever I go to Shinjuku Kabukicho, Odakyu Century, I'm scared as if anyone points out,

"She must be Yuriko"!!!

Life is fun!(^^)

Well... now I have a better idea of what I’m looking for. lol.

I spend so much time in Kabukicho... I’m recognized fairly often nowadays. Nothing bad... just more acute sensitivity of whom I’m with and when.

I don’t get the whole “look! It’s a gaijin!” routine hardly, unless I’m in some Inaka town. I do however get the whole “your Japanese is really good” broken record. /shootme.

You must be quite famous in KBK-cho area!

I go to kabukicho for sometimes, and wonder why
we never met! but maybe we may have passed by and never noticed! Next time, plz make a hand gesture, if we met!

I get to asked by kyaba club guyz "do you wanna
work with us?" sometimes. Maybe they smell out escort girls, which my body type may tell, but not by my fashion...

Such a world...
