Hi,
I'll be traveling to Japan in a couple of weeks (on a family trip). As you can infer from the title I'm going to become a wizard in a few more years if things stay as they are, so I'm planning on losing IT during my stay in Japan.

Oh, I forgot this is supposed to be an introduction... Let's just say that I've been lurking on this site for the past 5-6 months.

And since I'll be on a trip with family members, does anyone have any advice on what I should say to them as an excuse so that I could go to Yoshiwara? I was thinking of saying something like "I forgot to buy something in _____ so I'll be out for a couple of hours".

Hi,

Sneaky confession here.... on my second visit to Tokyo I was travelling with my younger sister. Since I am not 'out' as an escort to anyone in my family, I had to find an excuse to leave her and meet a client. My excuse? "On Monday I'm nipping off to catch up with a friend from University. We're hanging out at her place between 6-10pm."
Plenty of notice given, worked a charm. :)

You could say you absolutely want to see for real the giant Buddha in Kamakura (takes more than 1h to get there !)
