Maybe the 26th?Ugh,forgot,Oct 27 is when I take a flight back home, thus, ending my vacation.
Anyone know chances of people dressing a day or 2 before that would appear around areas like Shibuya or some place?
Great,I can go for that......so if anyone happens to see a scout with some mask on,it'll be me.......not sure what mask to wear.Maybe the 26th?
AGEISM!There will also be a few hundred cringe-worthy 30+ year old white dudes skulking around, thinking they are cool.
If only this was physically and not mentally...The concept of ‘gaijin age’ is you stay the same age as whatever age you arrived here as. Usually thats your mid or early 20’s.
I personally think it is.. but I don’t see that many scary costumes in Tokyo. I also noticed that most people who go out with their groups of friends choose matching outfits or wear the exact same outfit as each other. Is dressing up in costumes as big a thing in Japan as it is in the States?
How about a Tokyo Ghoul mask. You can be Kaneki cosplaying as a scout. LolGreat,I can go for that......so if anyone happens to see a scout with some mask on,it'll be me.......not sure what mask to wear.
Anyone ever hear of ‘gaijin age’ ? similar to the whole ‘loser back home’ idea but probably more accurate.
I see a lot of examples of it, and none more so than haloween at shibuya crossing.

The clearest illustration of this is halloween. Go to shibuya crossing at halloween, there will be thousands of young people dressed up having a great time, getting drunk, excited to wear their costumes etc. same as we all did whilst at uni or high school. the vast majority will be locals, uni students or similar age. There will also be a few hundred cringe-worthy 30+ year old white dudes skulking around, thinking they are cool.
Im assuming these guys make up the majority of the ‘nampa / pua ‘ thread here.
AGEISM!
I agree that some of them are ridiculous, but people are entitled to go out and have fun regardless of age.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...If only this was physically and not mentally...

That's a possibility, thankfully I've at least watched a couple of seasons of it so its a consideration. At first,I was thinking about looking for a Zero Helmet(from Code Geass but then not being a cosplayer, hopefully not expected to do his poses because I'd maybe fail big time at that, lol. How about a Tokyo Ghoul mask. You can be Kaneki cosplaying as a scout. Lol
Whereas young guys doing exactly the same thing (or worse) is more acceptable?I agree 100% that anyone should keep on rockin’ regardless of age, there’s just a particular subset of mostly middle aged white guys in japan who like to skulk around like unfixed cats at TheHub/Rigelletos/whatever the latest pick up bars are and leer at drunk young girls. These guys are out in full force at halloween.

I was thinking more about the Kavanaugh circa 1985 type of behaviour and all the « boys will be boys » acceptance, but ok, if those young guys act properly I get your point.yes.
college age kids hooking up with each other is quite normal and part of life.
middle age men standing on the periphery of the college age kids hooking up waiting to jump in, isn't cool.

same hereI've never celebrated halloween.
same here
not because I didn't want to but it was never a thing in the countries I was in during this period
this year I'll try to go to HP with a costume but it won't be easy
even in Japan it's quite recent.Yeah I don't think Halloween is a big deal in most european countries. Besides I don't need an excuse to get drunk.
