Help! Libido getting lower

Here’s something that might help and if it does, quite possibly with immediate results.

Vitamin D3. The “D” is for “Dick”....

A high dose of Vitamin D3. With at least 100 micrograms of Vitamin K2 MK7 or 500 micrograms of Vitamin K2 MK4 ( to “guide” calcium to bones and teeth instead of contributing to arterial stiffening or kidney stone formation ). And, by a “high dose”, 10,000 - 20,000 iU of Vitamin D3 ( I get 5000 iU softgel capsules from the US via iHerb). I also either take a 80% Omega 3 fish oil capsule or two , or down a pat of butter ( Vitamin D is fat soluble ).

I normally take one 5,000 iU of Vitamin D3 in the morning along with the aforementioned Vitamin K2 MK7 and MK4. However, recently I started taking an “additional stack” before bed. For example, a mega dose of Vitamin B1 ( 200mg), Magnesium (250-500 mg) , 1000 mg of Vitamin C , etc for sleep quality mainly. It took me a while to figure it out but depending on the stack, I’d get morning boners reminiscent of my teenaged years. WTF?!

I finally figured out it was that extra high dose of Vitamin D3.

There’s mention of it in recent medical research, if you look.

I get my supplements from iHerb as I can’t get the doses / versions I want ( i.e. the most Vitamin D3 you might get in a capsule might be only 400 iU or 1000 iU at most ... and even if available, sold at outrageous markups ). IHerb delivers free takyubin for orders between $40-150... and prices/selection are good ( eg not marked up to begin with or other crap like that ).

But the dick is ok-ish (with porn or Vitamin V ;)) , it’s more the absence of desire which is the problem, and thats mostly a brain issue I suppose. 3 weeks a good boy, never had such a long dry spell for years... hopefully new sweetheart coming this weekend will wake-up those carnal instincts...otherwise I guess I just need to become a monk . I’d have to read it again carefully ( for full version use http://www.sci-hub.tw ) to clarify by what researchers meant by “longitudinal study”....

Again, more on erectile function rather than libido.... however, I don’t think it’s considered a matter of opinion or speculation that testosterone levels in men and libido levels are closely linked. Low T isn’t just potentially low libido; it can be the source of depression, fatigue and other unpleasant shit.

When you get into the subject ( sans all those juiced-up bodybuilding bros which tends to get you down an unnecessary misleading road ), you find there’s also issues like the ratio of estrogen which can drive down the relative values of T... this is why most guys don’t want or need to be consuming substances that encourage higher estrogen levels ( unless desperately trying to grow some man-tits or something freakily similar.) Aside from food ... two activities that help facilitate healthy levels of T are obviously getting quality sleep and exercise ( with some forms of exercise more conducive to T production than others). In a nutshell, a common simpale “Rx” for a guy might be to lift, eat ( low carb, high fat, moderate protein), sleep ( in that order).

A more certain approach would be to commission a blood test to measure testosterone levels. And, I guess serum levels of Vitamin D. And, if you want to look further, then things like cortisol levels ( they vary during the day / night , so if that’s an issue... I think it often gets measured at differing times of the day ). And, even more complex is to look at overall endocrinological function. Strangely enough, right on the trendy omotesando boulevard of broken dreams, there is a highly-regarded hospital whose speciality is thyroid disorders called Ito Hospital.

While I do use iHerb they are not so nice they would like you to believe. It's true they advertise free shipping to Japan but as soon as you change the delivery location from USA to Japan the prices of all products in your shopping cart I have checked will raise.
 
Ah, I actually didn’t notice that. It never occurred to me to check for that price differential. Thanks for the tip!

I did notice that if locked on to Japan ordering spec, they will automatically exclude products not allowed by Japanese govt ( often they’ll state “out of stock” for items I’ve ordered before ) or it won’t even show up in your search results to begin with. Prohibited products include almost all pet care products ( even shampoo !) and things like DHEA. You ca order honey but only in quantities under one kg, I think.

But still, if I want to get a $3 bottle of melatonin, I can do so. Not something crazy like ¥4000 like on Amazon Japan.

Have any of you guys ever tried ZMA? I used to take it when I was younger and I noticed it did three things: Gave me crazy ass dreams, made my morning bowel movements explosively fast and definitely made me hornier.

I know I've probably suggested it here before but you might want to try getting your hands on some good quality Tongkat Ali. I took that stuff for fun at age 28 while living in Japan, and within a week that shit turned me into a teenager, for better or worse: I was getting an oily face and zits, my temper went to serious hair-trigger status and I was horny as a motherfucker all day long. And it certainly wasn't very convenient getting random hard-ons in the middle of class, just like it was 1996 again, only now I was wearing a tucked in dress shirt with nice slacks and standing at the head of a classroom full of 18 year old girls.

I stopped toying around with supplements that boost testosterone, as I'd like to keep my DHT levels as low as possible and keep my hair into my 40s, but if you're just looking to jumpstart your libido, those two supplements might give you a hell of a lot more than you bargained for.

And sex with pretty/cute girls inn their early 20s helps alot too.
If you can get it, you can also always keep some viagra/cialis with you, and take it for erection insurance when you feel like you might need it.

it's available OTC. used as a supplement fot strength sports ... like powerlifting. some guys i follow on IG also mention crazy weird dreams. i've never used it myself.
I took ZMA when I was younger for sports performance reasons. I don’t recall much ergogenic effects back then but I do remember having some crazy weird dreams though.
 
I will now take all this good advice collected here and use it myself. So I will stay out in the sun too much, drink only booze to keep myself dehydrated, avoid all vitamins and healthy food and eat a lot of junk food to make myself even fatter while foregoing all kinds of physical things that can be considered sports.

Maybe then I can have one free morning I won't wake up with a boner.

Pretty much the same reason I tried it (sports recovery). I wasn't particularly fond of the effects of the magnesium, where you're basically sprinting for the toilet as soon as you wake up, but the dreams were fucking amazing. One night it gave me this ridiculous, violent fantasy dream where the U.S. Army arrived in the Osaka harbor and were recruiting Americans to go overseas to kill people, and I ended up as the helicopter gunner from Full Metal Jacket (the one killing women and children and screaming "GET SOME!!"). The dream ended abruptly and I awoke on all fours on my tatami floor, gasping "GET SOME!!" and trying to figure out where my machine gun was. Took me 10 or 15 seconds to realize I wasn't actually mowing down innocent civilians and the dream was over.

Like I said, I was a violent shit in my 20s.

Matsusaka does have some fine steers. Queers? Not sure, but last time I was out that way I didn't get many furtive glances from any of the guys in town. I get that a lot at spas in bigger cities, probably due to my appearing to be native and also being relatively muscular (I've been told by a number of females that only gays and gangsters lift weights and try to get big). I can't imagine the quality in Mie is worth bragging about.

But I'm probably visiting Japan this spring with my gay cousin, who works in the fashion industry and is one of those awful, bitchy, tyrannical, mean-spirited, judgmental fags who is infamous for making all his gay subordinates cry, and he's going to do some recon in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. I'm sure he'll have an opinion on the best queer spots. I'm actually looking forward to hitting the bars with him because he's extremely fashionable, skinny, lanky, effeminate, relatively handsome and can speak decent Japanese; the Japanese girls are gonna go absolute apeshit for him. My guess is he'll be a real prick and tell them to fuck off and lose some weight and learn how to dress themselves (he's a gay, more sinister version of me). Hopefully he'll make a few cry, and then I can go comfort them...all the way back to my hotel.
