It probably sounds a bit strange but maybe a few people understand what I mean.

Often I walk around Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc. when I'm working, on a break, going shopping, hanging out with friends, etc. But for whatever reason I really love walking by shops I've blown my load in before. I love the aesthetic of some of these places and the fact that they're often located on busy streets next to just regular shops. They also often have pink/red neon signs and so on which I find to be rather neat. Even when I go inside these places I'm often a bit fascinated by the set up. Like the type of tacky furniture and colour scheme they have going on inside.

For example I often go to Toho Cinemas in Shinjuku. I walk there with my friends and so on and so often I'll walk by some shop I've fucked around in before. Of course I can't point this out to my friends but I'm always excited by the prospect that other people are in there right now having some interesting (or terrible) experience.

Another example: Recently I was once going to meet a female friend around 19:00 at the Shinjuku East Exit. About 15 minutes before I was in some shop touching some girl and jizzing uncontrollably and literally 10 minutes after meeting my friend I'm walking by the same shop again as if nothing just happened and it just makes me laugh inside.

Can anyone else relate to this or is it weird?

I absolutely love the shops’ aesthetics and atmosphere around them as well. Although i can not visit most of them. :(
If i could, i would want to try working in every shop for one day, all kinds of different services, just to really experience what they are like.

Me too! To be honest though... they're more interesting on the outside than inside. A lot of the places reek of cigarette smoke unfortunately. At some places you can see cum stains on the ground/wall as well haha. I still remember the first time I saw one of these shops when I first moved to Tokyo. It was in Kabukicho and it just had a poster with a girl sticking out her tongue. I'm pretty sure it gave me an instant boner.

The sense I was getting from your post was more in the realm of "the dirty little secret." I can imagine certain thoughts running though your head like, "if they only knew..., they may think I'm a straight arrow...., Mr. Ordinary...., but in reality, I know how to have fun, let loose and get freaky!"

I'm not sure if that is what the experience is like for you, but it doesn't sound weird to me.

That's definitely a large part of it!

Walking by someplace where I know what’s going on inside but my buddy next to me has no idea, I do find rather thrilling.

Omg, this is so me and my thoughts. I’m just Mr boring, ordinary, and safe... If they only knew...

I even felt a little tingle walking past a hotel I saw a fantastic escort at. I don't think it's weird at all. It's the site of a thrilling experience, not unusual that some of that thrill remains.

Hahah actually yes. Except I don't think a lot about the shops I've visited when I walk past them, but I love looking at the lights, posters, the aesthetic and feeling the atmosphere when passing by them. Same thing with the LH districts around the city as well. Hard to explain but it's fascinating.

Exactly what I’ve been thinking whenever I walked past by the shops. I wonder what it’s like to work inside.

I don't know if it gives me a thrill but I like walking around Kabukicho and Dogenzaka just to see clients waiting on an escort or escorts walking to hotels and I guess the same around shops. A lot of the time I'm in the area for other stuff like live houses and kill time by walking around and seeing what's happening. I just enjoy the lifestyle of nightlife and the pretty much 24 hour sex industry of love hotels, soaplands, sex shops and everything else. I always say to friends I feel more at home in seedy parts of Shinjuku than I do in Omotesando where I barely feel like I'm in Tokyo anymore.

I guess I am the odd one in this group because I think Kabukicho is completely hideous. It gives me the creeps whenever I have to go there. Total claustrophobia!

I am a very visual person and I prefer interiors which are: spacious, with sufficient natural light distribution, smartly designed, adequate. Elegance and refinement is what I’m looking for. Kabukicho is very busy, and just like any overcrowded area it looks a bit.. run down to me. The touts or J-guys catcalling me on the streets are definitely not helping. I’m much more into five star hotels, and Andaz is one of my favorites at the moment, although navigation on the floors is a bit confusing. I love the mass wood and clay ornaments in the bathrooms.

I like the convenience of love hotels, that we can just go there anonymously and spend some time in a non judgemental space. But the “16 Basic Microsoft Paint Colors” flashing in Kabukicho is just too much for me. It gives me sensory overload..
