Then we have the case of Edita Schindlerova (aka Edita Bente) a Czech born Ryanair (a major European LCC) stewardess, outed by a pilot colleague.

The airline’s management simply declared that it’s none of their business what employees do before or after work, as long as it’s not criminal. She kept her job.

Its known to be dirty cheap but pretty terrible. Small space, extra baggage costs, no refunds on canceled flights... you get what you pay for.

Pardon my language, but a porn star playing a whore on a cable TV show hardly counts as a major breakthrough, I think. Yes, GOT is super popular and that's probably why a lot of fans love her character, but if she had a leading role or something more dramatic in a different medium outside of Europe, then I definitely agree that she's made major progress.

I don't think she'll be up for any Academy Awards soon seeing how the U.S. media would eat her up.

Take Maria Ozawa. She went to an international school in Tokyo and has been in the industry for ten years or more. She’s widely known and recognized. There must be hundreds of people out there who knows her.

How can she, and most other Japanese porn stars, remain anonymous? Japan is as full of trolls and morons as any other country, as far as I know.

With regards to Maria specifically, it's because nobody cares. Maria is well known outside of japan (and also by foreigners living in japan) but she has pretty much no japanese fanbase. Maria was not a successful or famous porn star, in fact her porn career was a bit of a train-wreck.

Yes! I remember she was in one of the very first JAV i ever watched more than 11 years ago....
Also she is/was like a mainstream celebrity in countries like Indonesia. Almost every guy would have known about her or jerked off to one of her videos...

Well I would respectfully disagree, I could go into reasons why but I make it a rule not to badmouth people on the internet. Simple fact of the matter is that Maria was never in the DMM Top 100 sales charts when she was working.
