I apologize if this hasn't been mentioned before but I wonder if it's worth adding a column for places that require having a Japanese phone number.
I haven't hit up any places in Kawasaki since last year but there were a couple places in the past (Bijin Lab, Jyotei Orihime) where it's not the language barrier that is the stopper but whether or not you possess a Japanese phone number. I'll wager a guess this is the residency check?
Generally speaking, I mostly do walk-ups as I don't always rent a SIM card when I travel to Japan. Hilariously, despite my many years traveling here and fair confidence in my Japanese language abilities... I absolutely hate talking in Japanese on the phone.
Anyways, if this has been addressed in some form or another then don't mind me. I figure it would be a useful additional tidbit of information for folks from outside of Japan.
