Kawasaki and Yokohama Soapland Resource and Discussion Thread

They were the first on the search engine and have some good reviews on Reddit.

Times have changed. Being listed high on a search engine doesn't say anything about the quality of a page...and Reddit is also not the best point of reference

Cheers guys, really appreciate the replies. Probably helped me dodge a bullet there. I live in Tohoku right now and often go down to Tokyo. Been browsing around here, will most likely be using Asian Mystique next time I'm in town 🙏🙏

Seems like Kawasaki Playboy Club is openly accepting foreigners now. This is their new website https://www.k-pbc.com/ compared to the one on the spreadsheet, and shows this English tab:

Local price 90m 56,500yen / 110m 66,500yen
Gaijin price 90m 76,500yen

(20,000yen tax in Kawasaki is crazy...)

Sincerely hope no one here pays that, equivalent to a 10k tax plus 20 mins shorter service time,

The cancer is spreading...
Tourists are the cancer.

Tax is the chemo.

Us foreign residents are the unfortunate bone marrow.

And peeps call me gatekeeper for not sharing my latest favourite shops. Even foreign residents that think we should pay our due because of the weak yen.
Same. I am most scared of making a shop popular and then getting slapped with tax....there is never a guarantee that they will make an exception just because you have booked them a bunch of times.

Unfortunately, a "fair" system also means that people have to think, and thoughtful people don't end up manning the counter at a soapland.

Not gonna write a review. But tried out nice lady lady today. Staff was really nice at the door. Didn't make reservation since I was told I wasn't allowed but overall decent experience. Definitely older looking than Kira.

At least share her name.

I also had an excellent experience with staff recently! Happened in Kawasaki. Made the elementary mistake of assuming the girl had cleared it with the store before accepting the 姫予約 of my foreign ass 🥲

The tencho himself approached me in the waiting room while i was sipping tea, got down on one knee, softly explained that their store is very high class exclusive and it's "definitely not racism" but we cannot proceed further despite the veteran ranker girl saying OK. Refunded my cash in full, then did a proper textbook dogeza on the ground. Beautiful form. Bowed 90° at the doorway as he sent me off too. Best cockblock ever. 10/10 would repeat. Won't find this quality in Yoshiwara.

which store is this?

I thought only yoshiwara still keeping such tradition.

quite shocking see such things on my first at yshirt.

From the Yoshiwara thread, about Côte:

Yep pretty much this, seeing their ads on different platforms aimed at Chinese speaking tourists. The Group's Chinese-facing page indicates that Kawasaki Kokyu will take a similar service package approach, like a Côte++, with prices starting at 120,000yen for 2 hours, including the car pickup service from anywhere in Tokyo or Kawasaki coming along with the Chinese guide who supposedly explains to you the wonderful history of fuzoku in Japan until today and the rules of play. They even offer a premium matchmaking service if you happen to fall under the spell of beautiful Japanese women after your adventures in fuzoku, allegedly including "top AV stars (単体女優) and regular actresses" in the matching pool. Mileage will vary.

(I'll stick to the great zero-tax stores still plentiful across the country)
what you quoted is right but not up to date.

this setup totally failed in business, that is why the group turned it into a standard (Japanese facing) shop recently.

Indeed, @kyu just had to look above his own post to see that info, post just adds confusion.

Kokyu is a Japanese only mid priced Soapland and nothing else.

Update
Price added for Club Newyorks sister store 後宮 (Kokyu) that isnt a gaijin only store no more but is marketed as "Club Newyork 2" with cast at 30 or older. It will open on January 14th. Just as Club Newyork its most likely Japanese only.

Oops, sorry for the confusion, thanks for setting the record straight, always great to hear from the experienced members here. I did see your post above, but looks like that was the wrong reply, so I've deleted the post with the outdated info

Yeah what would the mainland Chinese care about the Japanese history of fuuzoku. I don't think they can appreciate the fine art of it.

how could such brilliant business plan fail? :X3:

did they run out of rich chinese?

Yeah what would the mainland Chinese care about the Japanese history of fuuzoku. I don't think they can appreciate the fine art of it.

My view is, multi factors led to this failure:
1) 120K>80K, definitely, this is a reason even for 'rich' Chinese, and it's difficult to tell the difference of quality between 120K and 80K to a soapland first-timer.
2) Kawasaki is somewhere unpopular location among tourists, most people know Tokyo, Asakusa then Yoshiwara, but for Kawasaki... I'm afraid they won't give it a look other than the background of Fuzoku.
3) It's mentioned in the shop's article they could get the people from Haneda to the store in Kawasaki directly upon their landing to Japan but it proves to be not realistic because merely people will set soapland visit as their first stop to Japan.
4) They already put huge marketing effort to advertise Cote so the side effect is the new shop will get less attention.
