Recently I had a night free, and decided that I wanted some titillation without being a participant so thought I would head to a strip club for a bit of fun.

Now, my only experience so far of strip clubs or their ilk in Japan has been the odd drunken night in 7thHeaven because I’m dragged in by friends, which I usually found a disappointment and expensive. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, as it’s (from my very hazy drunken memory) full of non-Japanese dancers that are there to extract as much from your wallet as they possibly can with their 7,000 yen no fun 3 minute lap dances. So after a little research, I discover that there are two Japanese style strip clubs that are gaijin friendly, TS music and the Rockza chain. On these hot humid summer days I wanted to take a trip home before heading to the club, so Rockza it was as they have a few branches dotted around and the branch in Kawasaki meant I could drop things off at home before heading there.

The club has a decent website, with instructions and a map on how to find them:
Kawasaki-rockza.com

From either of the main stations in Kawasaki (JR or Keikyu) it’s about a 10 minute walk, just follow google maps and it will take you right there It’s down a little side street, but in the nightlife part of Kawasaki (where the date café is), once you are on the street it’s easy to spot as it’s literally the only place on the street, the entrance is on the ground level and there is a big neon sign with rockza written on it.

As you face the doors, there is a booth on the right hand side before you go in. Pay the guy here your money, (which for some reason was only 4,000yen on the Wednesday night I went although I thought the site said 5,000), I don’t think I look like a senior citizen or a schoolkid, so not sure why I got a cheaper entrance fee than expected, but the 1,000 yen off was a bonus. On the way to the club I’d stopped off at the convenience store and picked up a few drinks, so I asked the guy in the booth if it was OK to drink inside and he confirmed it was fine. The club does have a vending machine selling drinks (I saw a few guys grabbing drinks throughout the show), so you can either bring your own or get them in the club. Nobody was really obviously “drinking”, so it’s not a place to go get tipsy, but drinking beer, tea, highball because you are thirsty seemed normal

Once you have your ticket, go through the door and give your ticket to the woman just inside, she’ll tear it in half and return the stub to you. You then walk through the very small lobby (about 4 steps) and go through the door to the right into the theatre (toilets are past the theatre at the end of the corridor).

Throughout the day, there are 4 different show times. The same 6 girls (6 on my day) rotate, but you can stay as long as you want, to watch multiple shows. As it was about 7:45 when I entered I picked up the end of the 3rd show, and this just rolled into the start of the 4th show without me really noticing.

The theatre holds about 50 people, 3 benches across the room as you enter, and then a few benches either side of the small rotating stage. I parked myself on the back bench while I worked out what was going on and watched the end of the 3rd set. Even sat at the back you’re still very close to the stage, so there’s no issue with not being able to get a good view. As the 3rd set ended a few people vacated their seats, so I moved forward a row to get a better view. There was only one row between me and the dancers, so you can get a very close up view when they sit on the rotating stage and do their thing. By the time 9:30 came around nearly all the seats were full, but as the show finished at 11:00 there’s a cheaper admission price that I’m sure tempted some of the cheapskates.

Showtime. I’m sure these vary as per the women that are dancing, but from the start of the 4th show this was the routine that seemed to be common

The lights dim, a woman comes on stage in the dark, the lights go up and the show starts.

The shows seem split into 4 parts.
Part 1 - the woman is fully dressed, she does some artistic dancing to a few songs and then the lights dim and she disappears.
Part 2 - She then re-enters wearing a little less, and does some more artistic dancing but showing a little more skin, makes her way to the centre rotating stage and dances there.
Part 3 – Either another change of clothes, but mostly just her on the rotating stage, at this point she either gets fully nude or has cloth for artistic effect (but you still see everything). They spread their legs so the audience gets a good view of their pussy and do some moves to give everyone a good view..
Part 4 – Goes off stage, comes back on wearing skimpy clothing, sits on the rotating stage and goes round a few times showing everyone her pussy. After the titillation of the first few rounds, this just seems like a “just in case you missed it” round.

As you are sat so close to the stage it’s very easy to see everything, and the dancers are sometimes not shy of making eye contact which I thought was great. The first dancer of the night was bubbly, more cosplay purple hair etc. whilst the 3rd was kimono wearing, traditional dancing, so it’s a nice mix of dance styles. It was a really varied show with the dancers all having differences, from their dance styles, clothing, body types etc. It seemed that no matter what your “thing” was, unless it was totally out there then one of the women would be your type. (I thought the 4th dancer was amazing, very beautiful)

After a couple of dancers have performed, they take a 10-15 minute break. At this point the previous 2 dancers re-enter the stage, set up at either side and members of the audience can go and buy polaroid pictures of the women. The guys from the audience would queue up, pay them their money (think it was 500 yen per photo) and then tell the woman how she should pose. It seemed that the guys at the front of the queue would be the guys taking photos of the women dressed, then as you got further back the clothes would come off and the guys would get them to do all sorts, up to spreading their lips so he could take a photo of their pussy spread wide. The guys would then take a souvenir that the women had and take their photo and return to their seat. Some guys had omiyage for the women, and presented this to them as they went for their photo. I’m really not sure what the guys do with the photos (maybe I don’t want to know), but it all seemed a little weird to me. The good thing was you got to hear the women speak as they entered, chatted to the guys and exited the stage. Couple of them sounded really nice, whereas a couple were just too over the top kawaii high pitched squeaking for my tastes. After the queue was done, the women thanked everyone and then left the stage so the next dancer could perform.

I stayed through most of the 4th set (until I got the women I’d already seen) and then headed out. I got to see some beautiful women dancing, and also got to see them nude, so it fulfilled my desires for the night. Some of the guys were a little weird especially the guy dressed in full Nazi uniform (including hat and swastika armband) but maybe I am weird to them, who knows.

As it has branches all over the Tokyo area, and they do have the odd AV star that performs I think it’s a great way to spend a free night and great value for money at only 4 or 5,000 yen.

I've been a couple times; the last time was two years ago. It's exactly as NormalGuy describes. The ladies are good-looking and attractive. Trust me, you will have great views of every dancer. When I was there, there smell was a little musty, but bearable.

The ladies really know their stuff and enjoy dancing. They had themes and dance as an art form-nothing cheap about the performances.

The building and interior are old, but as he said, it's configured to give great views. If you stay long enough you can move up right next to the stage as others leave.

Just noticed Marie Ozawa is schedule to dance at Kawasaki Rockza February 1st to the 10th. Not exactly my style, but I must admit, tempting.

Wow, I am more surprised and happy to see Old Roots Reggae in TAG again! Welcome back home ;).

And yeah, she might be the reason I finally go and take a look what Kawasaki Rockza has to offer.

Sort of off topic but Maria had been working at some delivery health places recently according to fuzokuav.

She seems to perform there once a year, around the same period. Last year, she was there also end of Jan early Feb. I could not go fortunately, but if I was there this year I would just go to see by myself from close range whether she is that...Wow....

I remember the days when there were 8 dancers. 4 Japanese and 4 foreign (Columbia maybe) dancers and after the foreign girls danced you could pay another 3-4 thousand yen for 10 minutes alone with them which included bbbj and cfs

I'm definitely thinking about it. She looks a lot hotter in her Rockza pictures than I remember her from her porn movies.
Would also be tempted to give her a spin in the bedroom if I find her at a DH and she's not "super hot AV star" prices.

She looks a tad chunkier now from the recent pics I've seen of her.
Anna, it's probably just an old style strip show......no poles......not like a go-go bar

Stage at the back with a very short runway and circular stage at the front. Women do their first dance generally at the back and then move to the front to do the artistic nude dances.
Guys sit around the circular bit, and if you are at the front you are literally about within touching distance.

No poles, occasionally there are props at the back but it's mostly just the woman and her skimpy outfits.

As witnessed by the hapless local salaryman who was too drunk and tired and fell to sleep during one show back in the day in Shinjuku DX. The girl dancing kicked her squarely in the forehead with her high heels :D.

Totally by accident, I am sure :p.

Sounds like a boys night out to me........:p

If anyone is interested in going......shoot me a PM and lets have a boys night out. I have lots of time on my hands and this might be a fun nite.
