After calling like 10 different korean deliveries today and being refused by everyone of them. I wonder if I should change my strategy. When they ask my nationality (because they recognize that my Japanese is not native), I always say the truth. I say I am from France. What is strange is that I've been accepted before to korean deliveries by telling them my nationality.
So what I wonder is: did they tighten the rules and don't accept foreigners anymore (in this case, shikataganai), or do they not accept certain specific nationalities, including France. If that is the latter, then my guess is that they don't accept French people because the ratio of colored people in the French diaspora of Tokyo is quite high, and they don't want to serve colored people but they don't dare to ask "are you black?" or "are you white?" because it is rude.
So I was thinking, maybe when they ask my nationality, I should just bluntly tell them that I am a Caucasian so that they may accept my money?
Other than that, if anyone who is a foreigner and was accepted in korean deliveries recently, can you tell me what nationality you told them you were, so I can say that next time.
