About Shinchis:
To be frank, the only reason I want to go to Shinodoyama is to get the "stamp" of having visited all the shinchis.
I had totally forgotten about Ikoma shinchi! I only read about it in Japanese articles long ago and forgot about it, it seemed very inaccesible to foreigners (if someone has gone, let us know!).
My ranking of Shinchis is the same as Airnest: Matsushima > Kannami† > Tobita > Imazato / Takii.
I miss Kannami†, I was sad to hear it had closed a couple of years ago (it seems the forced closures because of Corona hit it hard, and it did not have the same "social acceptance" in the neighborhood as Tobita or Matsushima, let's hope these two never close).
Kannami had many young girls at very cheap prices compared to the other shinchis, and overall good service and same level of foreigner friendliness as Matsushima.
About strip places:
My recommendation is Toyo in Osaka. The key points are:
- Toyo: 5,000 yen entry, full nudity, 6 dances and girls approximately (2 amateurs, 2 minor AVs with "idol like" choreographic dances, 2 seasoned professional strip dancers with pole / aerial pole dances with lots of gymnastics. The last part of each dance are several minutes of full nudity with the girls making several poses in a rotating platform).
You can take nude pictures of the girls, but only using a camera they provide (they print the picture for you), and absolutely no touching, and no talking to the girls other than when you take pictures.
Venue is foreign friendly, with English signs, and bouncer or bar staff speaking some English. Girls themselves are foreign friendly too (but all interaction is just the pictures).
- Kōsei in Osaka is similar but less quality than Toyo, I do not recommend it over Toyo unless it happens to be closer to you.
- DX Toji in Kyoto is similar too, but less quality than both Toyo and Kōsei. Website is not working and Twitter has not been updated for years. I could not find news in Japanese confirming anything, but I am afraid it might have closed.
The above are the traditional Japanese strip clubs (full nudity in public, so a gray area in Japan… pussy is exposed during the dance, but when taking pictures it cannot be shown too explicitly).
- Apollo 1 in Osaka is a "pub show", the more legal version of strip clubs in Japan.
Minus points of Apollo 1:
There is
no full nudity, instead girls wear micro-bikinis and lingerie (no pussy visible at any time, and nipples are not visible during performance but you can see and touch them in a more secluded area after dance if you nominate the girls).
Price is also more expensive, 13,000 entry and you will expend for sure at least another 10,000 in nominating girls for groping in secluded area (1,000 per 1 minute, the standard being 3,000 for 3 minutes to get good value. You get to see nipples and touch all body, but
cannot kiss, or touch pussy).
As average for all dances except the final one, they are less professional than a traditional strip theater like Toyo, but for the final at least 1 of the dancers will be a professional using pole/aerial pole and of high level.
Plus points of Apollo 1:
There are many girls. For iSplash, the biggest store of the building (the rest of stores are similar), on a weekend there are 30 girls.
My understanding is all girls are dancers - to some degree -, but the same girls do not perform all nights, around only 8 girls perform/dance in 4 shows a night - 2 girls per show more or less - per night, while the rest act only as "hostesses" walking around the venue in bikini, and you can nominate them for secluded area groping.
For free you get to grope all the girls when you first enter the shop (they come to your table, introduce themselves, and let you grope their breast and butts… but be careful each girl ok level of free grope varies slightly). For this is better to go early, once is late the shop is too crowded and the girls are busy for all of them to come to your table and introduce themselves, you will only get a couple at most.
All the girls have very good looks, and there is wide variety in style (well, as much variety as you can get considering all are thin, 20s-mid 30s, and wearing only bikinis).
Atmosphere is very friendly. It has English signs and bouncers and bar staff speak some English. The girls themselves are also foreign friendly.
Warning: as mentioned in many Japanese reviews, the venue and girls smell of sexy woman perfume and it will stick to your clothes for sure, even if you do not do any groping (to me this is a plus, I like the smell, but if you have a partner you have to be careful, it is a smell completely impossible to explain away, even less so than the smell of a recent shower at Matsushima or health shop).
