so the names jon currently in toyko here to share my wild experience

so a little about myself, im mixed with japanese with more western features yet my japanese is good so to get started i attended a goukon (beer with arranged strangers set up by friend) i just got out of a 5 year relationship with my ex korean girlfriend so i needed this, after meeting the new friends one girl i took a liking too, she told me she was too drunk and needed help getting home, we took the JR to Asakusa and i was in her small place one thing led to another and we ended up doing it, since that night i felt a confidence boost so i attended more goukon this time one of the woman was married and had a kid, dare i not make a move? something triggered the urge to want to intervene in her life so i made my move and hours later i went to her place and once again a home run in bed! at this point i had 2 F buddies, sadly i was thinking with the D instead of my head...so i ended up going for a few more as my whole life ive only had 1 relationship with the korean ex and tought i couldnt do better so to me this was my awakening. next thing you know within the moment ive had 6 woman within my grasp...yet to this day..i continue my journey , wether its in the streets of shinjuku at night hunting my next prey, or in bars or clubs scouting my next damsel in distress...please give your feedback or share your experiences.
 
Thanks for sharing. There's a book called "Black Passenger Yellow Cabs" that talks a bit about a guy with an admitted sex addiction that sleeps with a bunch of Japanese women. Now, we're probably all addicted to one extent or another -- but be careful because serial dating like that might get you in trouble...
 
These "gokon" are standard fare for Japanese guys and probably the best chance any ever have of meeting girls. Anything is possible in that situation after a few drinks. Problem is trying to meet the girl a 2nd time if you are interested in her.
 
well..i dont mean to brag or anything but lately everytime i go to these..i always score and hit 1st or 2nd night...its not my looks just the way i talk to them or charm them...eventually leading to a love hotel..i have a giant guilt becuase im currently dating a girl but nothing serious yet going on these one night stands with random chicks

Just out of interest - how would ur average jack shite get invited to one of these gigs?

In 20 years in Japan I dont never been to one, not that I have ever particularly wanted to

From what I understand, it's an informal arrangement among mutual friends
 
haha well first one was a japanese friend of mine from canada that recently returned and wanted to have some fun so he invited me to a goukon then recently my roomate a izakaya worker invited me to a machicon but i kindly declined, personally i find girl hunting much easier in the streets saves me some yen and hassle, yes you get a few turndowns but mostly effective. about goukon mostly among mutual friends or theres special places you can pay 1500-2000yen for a blind date service in certain places.

Foreign guys usually don't get invited, because of xenophobia and racism. Many Japanese guys get insanely jealous if a foreigner does well with Japanese women, and on the flip, love to laugh at foreigners that are doing bad. However, there are exceptions. Those that I've seen:

1. Part Japanese.

As can be somewhat accepted in the group and get less jealousy blocking from Japanese guys.

2. Good looking Blonde hair, blue eyes...

Such a guy really doesn't usually need help. The Japanese guys will use this type to attract GROUPS of girls that they can then pick off.

Also, they will often use his looks to help them get girls (like bringing a new toy), but back stab him with all kinds of rumors, so they can steal or persuade girls that like him to instead go for them.

3. Foreign manager or boss

The Japanese want to get in good with a foreign manager/boss, so invite him. Possible downside, whoever the manager/boss chooses, now becomes "his girl". If he switches women, he will get talked about behind his back like a dog. Japanese guys are free to jump from girl to girl, but act like foreigners should marry the 1st Japanese girl he meets.

They advertise those speed dating sites a lot. Some are a scam, where promoter has girls pretending, so as to get money.

Street pickup is very doable, provided the guy puts in the hours to talk to many women and/or doesn't care about rejection.

However, be aware that many Japanese women can be extremely suspicious and paranoid, even more than in Western countries.

Aren't those 'international parties' that are advertised on Metropolis, etc, considered gokons? Or are they more of a mingle sort of thing?

I disagree about the International parties. For most foreign guys, they are horrible.

1) Many promoters are out to get MONEY and don't care about making the party a fun experience and even discourage hookups between men and women.

I've personally known international party promoters that dislike foreigners or spew anti-international stuff that it will make your ears burn. To the extent you are like "Why in the hell are you organizing international parties?"

2) Foreigners are often USED as bait to bring paying Japanese. Many parties are mostly Japanese.

The Japanese come to view foreigners like aliens from other planets or to specifically abuse them for free English lessons with no intention of ever seeing any specific person ever again. There are always suckers at the next international party.

3) Many Japanese guys will rudely stare down Japanese women talking to foreign guys, actively cock block in conversations between foreign men and Japanese women, or spew anti-international relationship right-wing propaganda. Stuff like, "Foreign guys are all playboys! X Japanese woman is a yellow cab/slut (for talking to foreigners). X had a bad relationship with foreign men!" etc...

Meanwhile, even the SAME Japanese guys will often have no issue whatsoever with trying to get with ANY foreign women they see.

4) Many Japanese guys use international parties as THEIR HOOKUP oppourtunity with Japanese women.

Basically, wild asinine rumors have floated around that women coming to international parties are "easy" and all want sex. Like many Roppongi stories, this is based on stuff from 10 to 15 YEARS AGO. Anti-foreigner and anti-international Japanese have almost completely DESTROYED any international hookup oppourtunities. Now, it's just about ripping people off for money.

So they will be trying hard to get with Japanese women and equally hard block or verbally back stab foreign guys.

5) Many Japanese women at the international parties are in an extreme state of anti-foreign guy paranoia and fear.

They have been told that foreign guys might want to have sex with them and being overly friendly with foreign guys mean they are yellow sluts.

Consequently, they get in very strong lesbian-like anti-foreign guy groups, where they will grab girlfriends getting too friendly or pull girlfriends away from guys.

Most e-mail and phone number exchanges are completely worthless. And even Japanese women think it's funny to lead guys on and trick them. I'm talking about low level sneaky behavior that is worse than the typical Tokyo discos. The common Japanese female trick at international parties is to flirt and be fake, then never contact the guy again or abuse the guy for free English lessons for as long as he can withstand it.

hey man, read your story pretty amazing stuff! i just arrived in tokyo my 3rd time. i am new to the whole service stuff yet if anyone can help me then awsome, looking to see if theres any cheap but fairly good BJ service or health service in yokohama/ikebukuro/ or near shinjuku i noticed okubo or ikebukuro girls usually standing in station are gone...so wondering where i can go to find the girls that escort to their services for a very low reasonable price but decent woman? any suggestions? chinese/korean/japanese is fine just looking to kill some stress after a break up

I'm also kind of perplexed by this comment. Japanese do a LOT of serial dating within their group and the biggest playboys in Japan are Japanese guys.

Serial dating among single unmarried people is very legal.

Paying for sex or committing adultery while married would appear to be more of a problem.

I don't mean LEGAL trouble. I meant if you are sleeping around at work, or sleeping around in your social circle, or even sleeping with girls at your favorite bars, you are possibly going to run into women that don't take too kindly to it. I guess it really all depends on what type of game you play, too.
