I know that you are frustrated with your inability to line up some connections from afar, but that's not really the way Japan works. You might want to consider coming to Japan and seeing a few people, and either having them introduce you, or at least get some local reviews for a longer more successful tour.

As a new member going on his first trip to Japan, i expect that reading as many threads as possible will help me to enjoy my trip & Sukoshi aka raito Shisutemu wakaru. (Understand the red light system a little)
I also expect that asking too much info without contributing back or at least RTFF's first will get me little help or even derision from established members so I'll be sure to post my experiences once I've had boots on the ground & use the search function first before I ask too many questions, & thanking posters when they answer or help me out.

As this is an information sharing site, we do hope that you can find useful information and of course share your experiences to help others. We are by no means a complete source of information on our own, but at least we have enough active members to help get the information people are looking for. From a management point of view, we do try and do some of the research or try to confirm new information.
