Are we still in the extended maintenance or can I report a bug?

Similarly than a while ago the New Posts shows a number in red background (18 this time) but there are no unread messages anywhere.

Different than last time is one of the forum titles show "New" but there is no unread messages there either (independent escort reviews).
 
Try into section - I believe we have it out of the queue right now. Had a few people trying to stick ads in disguised as intros. If you read that section does the number change?

I have read the Intro section and it shows there are no new messages. Like a good boy I have read everything but the Independent forum claims to have new posts. But has none.

The number stays constant at 18.

Thanks for taking time to look at this. Unfortunately no changes, I tried with another browser too to get the cache cleared but still the same.

Very interesting... I will keep checking.
It's probably some stupid mistake on my part; I'll just step backwards through my change logs and see what filters out.
 
Yeah, I guess you missed something. And that is the fact that I am an idiot.

I finally went beyond the first page of the Escort review section and there I think around the fourth page was a thread that showed it was unread. From early 2017 and which I definitely have read before.

Anyways clicking through that solved the problem, it had 18 posts in it. Now the new posts show empty as it should.

Ok..... that actually makes some sense though. After moving things around, I bet some of the read/unread markers were tripped up.
I'm glad you found that because I was going to go nuts over this - but I eventually would have found it. :)
