This review is actually for the Newhalf-Newhalf shop & my experience, and not the TS-girl who served me. NaNa (said girl), left Japan to go to Australia with the goal of completing her degree and ultimately teaching English to children in Japan. That said, I still think its worthwhile to review the shop, my experience, and some tips & thoughts.
First and foremost, this is a newhalf (transsexual service), in case that wasn't clear by the title. There's not an overwhelming about of trans service reviews on the site, so better late than never!
Reserving & Email Communication
I ultimately chose Newhalf-Newhalf because of NaNa and their awesome email communication. Setting up a reservation was simple and quick compared to other places I contacted. The madam, who answers the emails, speaks English decently - enough to communicate effectively both in-person and through text. Her replies were delayed between 1-2 days, so keep that in mind if you set up a reservation via email.
When emailing her, I was able to inquire as to specific requests (ie., rimming), and ultimately reserve a time & girl. There's also an option for reserving a girl to be sent to your hotel room (delivery) - but I opted for in-house.
After she confirmed my reservation, I also asked for a breakdown of charges, which she provided with a little bit of error as she missed some course options I asked for. Clarifying this over email made the actual in-process transaction a lot easier.
The day before my reservation, I noticed that NaNa on their website had "UNAVAILABLE" for the full day. I emailed the madam and confirmed that everything was fine with my reservation which she happily reassured me that there was no issue. NaNa was coming into the shop specifically for my reservation that day (great!).
Entering the Shop
Nervous as hell, I walked through the rounded arch down some dimly lit steps, past a throne chair. I opened the only door to a hallway with another throne and noticed that there were a lot of people in a backroom behind a curtain. Saying hello in Japanese seemed to surprise the people behind the curtain (maybe you're supposed to knock!), being told "one moment" in English until the madam came out and greeted me.
Something worth mentioning here, all of the girls are in the backroom in this shop when they're not in the room with a customer. In the backroom, there are definitely a lot of people smoking. So, even if the girl you select doesn't smoke, she'll be around people who are smoking and might pick up that cigarette smell in her hair & clothes.
Exchanging my information and asking if I was early, she assured me that she knew who I was and that I was perfectly on time, she handed me some slippers and escorted me to the room. After we sat down, we went through the options/course I had already selected and just wanted to confirm everything. When setting up the course, I requested "Ejaculation" (for the girl), and she wanted to make it clear that NaNa might not be able to ejaculate. I told her I wanted to not include that option in the course (which she didn't understand at first). She totaled me up to the same amount we discussed via email (minus the ejaculation), and I paid in cash. Afterwards, she showed me the safe I could put my belongings into and how to operate the TV. She asked if I needed to use the bathroom and escorted me to the toilet down the hall. For some reason, while I was using the toilet (maybe two minutes after I came inside), she knocked on the door asking me something I couldn't hear, and opened the door. She came in for a second before she saw me sitting on the toilet - profusely apologizing and leaving the bathroom closing the door behind her. It was a little bizarre but I think she was only trying to help.
Afterwards, she showed me back to my room and asked me to wait patiently for Nana.
Conditions of the Shop
The rooms are a little dimly lit with a TV on the wall producing a bit of background noise so you don't feel self conscience at producing moans, etc. The rooms are clean, albeit the bed sheets feeling a little cheap. There's a safe if you want to put your passport, etc., but it's Japan - you don't need to. Honestly I was more concerned with not being able to open up the safe after locking it more than I was having something stolen. Aside from that, the rooms also have a wall mirror next to the bed, and obviously the beds are low to the ground, because Japan.
The bathrooms are clean although have some bad lighting (cold greenish florescent) and can make your girl look unappealing. The hallways are pretty narrow and sort of dark. They (the staff & girls) also call out down the hall when going through rooms, so that you never bump into any other customers or girls. Both times we left the bathroom we had to wait for about ten seconds which gives me the impression this place is secretly super busy and does a good job hiding it.
Like I said before, there's a lot of people smoking in a backroom behind a curtain, and that can leak into the hallway. The room itself didn't have any smoke smell, but it's entirely possible I got used to it. If you're sensitive to that smell, I can understand this being a deal breaker for you.

Like I said at the top, this isn't going to be a review for NaNa, but more so for the shop. Once NaNa came in and I awkwardly greeted her, I went through the options I wanted (I took a screenshot of the play she enjoys and marked either a green checkmark, a red X, or a heart next to specific things I wanted to do). Despite understanding them and what I wanted to do, we ultimately didn't get to do all of them. Rather than her leading, it felt like I had to lead in almost everything during the time together. For someone who is more so submissive and particularly for someone who this is their first time in a shop like this and with a TS - having a girl who lead more and hit on each of the options I requested would have been ideal.
Services included: DFK (before, during, and after showering), HJ + BBBJ, BLS, COF, AF (with condom of course - me giving, not receiving), Cosplay, TOMA. During AF, she stroked herself to ejaculation despite me requesting to skip it. All of these were awesome with the exception of AF. I had bought high-end Japanese condoms for myself a day beforehand and sadly the AF didn't feel very good for me. I think next time I would like to receive rather than give. Walked back up the dimly lit stairs to the door upstairs and walked outside feeling refreshed and happy/excited about the whole encounter. I loudly thought to myself that I definitely would visit a Newhalf/TS shop again next time, but I definitely would like to try another place.
Tips & Advice for Newcomers:
Anecdotally, I know a lot of people interested in transexual health club services are first-timers to health delivery and sex shops in general in Japan. Here's my advice that hopefully should help:
- Be as hygienic as possible before you show up - don't just count on the shower when you get there to be clean. You'll have a better time if you start super fresh and clean.
- Know at least an elementary level of Japanese - don't count on your girl knowing just enough of English to get by. Spending a month beforehand learning Japanese is critical I feel.
- Don't rely on Google Translate to communicate, you very well may not have any service inside. Taking screenshots of Japanese words regarding sex things or phrases is a good idea though.
- It's okay to be nervous when you first arrive! It's completely understandable. Just remember they want to provide you a service for your money - you have no real need to worry.
- The longest duration available felt like just the right time for me. I ejaculated twice.
- Keep a timer on your phone of how much longer you have together. I had trouble keeping track of time and I would often get worried we were getting close to the end - I made it a poorer experience for myself.
- Only visit shops that communicate effectively via email. Make sure you put in the effort to let them know you're serious with your inquiry as well or you may not get a response.
