I had a post the other day that I requested for deletion because I realize it didn't add to the discussion. However, I realized now that it may have deleted some of the other posts. (no I dont feel they were targeted for deletion since i still get notifications, bug possibly?) Or that I may have requested a few other posts to be deleted, (dont remember doing so) which led me to think about this...

Is it possible, to have a notification if said post in question was (or wasn't) deleted?

Note: I had a couple posts deleted (more than I requested) and had no notification. (Possibly a bug?)

Anyway keep up the awesome work on this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious site.

This is already built into TAG moderation tools. Generally when I delete posts I'll include a notification as to why it was deleted. Not sure what happened specifically in your case- probably since you requested it there wasn't a reason to send a notification.

I, too, asked for a deletion and was promptly notified.

Interesting... Okay thanks for letting me know. I don't usually make it a habit to delete things, so I'll keep a look out the next time I do so.

And usually it's "someone's ego got a good thrashing", but that never ends up in the notification. (n):poop:

It's actually usually something like "stop acting like a dick", but I strive to be more polite than that. :D
If someone is old enough to log into TAG, they should be old enough to take a few jabs in the ribs without crying to Mommy.

It's not about protecting people's egos. It's about the inevitable 5 pages of content-free back and forth that accomplishes nothing and drives existing and potential users away. I'd rather have a board full of interesting discussions with minor moderation than a shitfest where people can say whatever they want with no repercussions.

I completely agree, as the resident topicality police.

So you've now posted in an advertising thread about how expensive foreign escorts are, and posted in a thread about deletion of posts without notification about how this board doesn't represent Japan and how you can't find another woman that looks like your wife for group sex.

Are you seeing a pattern here, or just me?

To get back on topic, I had a post too in response to @justhavefun 's post which was of course removed too, when the thread was cleaned. Is it intentional that I did not receive any notification that mine was removed? I don't miss that specific one, but would have expected some sort of notice.

Honestly can't speak for the Mod that did the clean up in that specific case. The tools are there to notify.

I moved more posts over to the other thread, please don't bump this one with @justhavefun drama. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I probably didn't check the notice box for those posts that were moved. Sorry about that! (it's not deleted, just hidden)
