Hi folks..

my first post..but having been reading some of the very useful info and am appreciative!

i have been to tokyo over the years, but still no japanese skills. are there any bars where you can pick up pros..in english?

I will soon be going to tokyo (shibuya) and osaka (for the first time), and am curious and in need of tips?

I imagine if not available, then the next best thing is to try the escort services?
Any recommendations please..

in future, i'm also happy to share tips about seoul, my backyard..

best

If there are any bars and such in Osaka where you can find pros...especially in English...I have not heard of them, sorry.

Unfortunately, I would not know about Tokyo, but I'm sure that some members here may have some info for you! ^-^v

Yes, tell me about Seoul! I will be there for a few days at the end of the month!

I know the scene you describe from other countries, like the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. But I don´t think it exists in Japan at all. Not today, at least. If you had come here in, say 1945, sure.

The closest thing to what you describe are Deai Cafes (Date Cafes) 出会い喫茶. However, it's not guaranteed, thus they are legal and in so many locations. Most women are more like part-timers/semi-pro, so what happens depends on the woman and you, plus your ability to negotiate. The list of Deai Cafes is here-

However, your other problem is Japanese language ability. This is going to mess you up in general and the English level is very low in Japan and in comparison to other Asian countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or even it's neighbor Korea. There is a free Japanese language course on YouTube that is considered one of the best EVER- Nihongomori- ( http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLINFE8v4DOhu_3LutLwJWetAhdcCrBF4X ) This plus some Japanese language apps on your smartphone might get you up to speed pretty quickly.
