I am 100% for exclusivity.
The trouble is... How can I be sure that the SB will remain exclusive? How do I know that tonight she is not getting a little pocket money while I am on a business trip? It's tough... Especially knowing that she wasn't exclusive in the past and nothing would prevent her while I'm not looking. How to build trust? What should trust be built on?

I'm not sure I'm convinced trusting an SB is based on anything different than a "standard" relationship.

To me trust is based on respect and care for the other person. I also think that to have a truly special SD/SB relationship, you're going to have to make yourself at least a little vulnerable. If you are just paying her for sex, then who cares (I guess), but if you want something more intimate and committed.......If I just want sex, I'll get an escort. If I want more, I'll have to put myself out there a bit.

Plus, actually have the conversation. Are you exclusive or not? Why or why not? Communication helps.

Finally I'm not sure I buy the implication that SBs are somehow less trustworthy than your usual GF types. Depends on the woman, I assume.

My two cents.

Keen to hear what the ladies think.

When she talks to SD 24/7, how could she cheat? Right? Hahah lol jk

Point is, foster good communication and understanding. I am always very upfront and say what I want. If I can't do exclusive, I won't commit to it in the first place, I'm sure there's always an option.

Now, back to the question, what can you do to make sure she wont cheat? Sweep her off her feet. Nothing works better than that, based on my experience. SB aren't that tough, they easily fall when pampered and taken care. Trust me on that.

Thank you all for your input. This conversation is very interesting and it is good to have input from the ladies.
When I meant that she wasn't exclusive, I meant that as an escort or a SB "the end justified the needs" and she would take appointments or other SDs to maximize her support.
I completely agree that a good way to build trust is to offer romance and sweep her off her feet. But another question comes to my mind... Can there be romance when there is a "transaction"..?
I know there are no perfect answers to all these questions. I have been thrown into the world of SD/SB in the last six months...I feel like a bit of a newbie...

Yes, there can be. It takes time and patience but sometimes it comes so instant that even you are shocked. It all depends upon the compatibility. If it is fake, you know it (you will always do). But if it is real, you can feel it. The money doesn't make your moments any less real.

Ches. This is one of the best and most sensible entry I have seen here for a while. You are completely spot on. Thank you.
