Porn is censored because in many ways East Asian societies are just as sexually conservative as the US is, at least 'outwardly'. Prostitution is quasi-legal in a lot of Asian societies - It's easy to look the other way when a small section of town is a red light district (and that's considered an essential part of 'health). It's not easy to look the other way when a barely legal Asian woman is blowing 3 guys on camera. Porn is illegal to produce or sell in virtually every East Asian country. In Singapore, you can get in pretty deep shit just by bringing porn into the country. Japan is by leaps and bounds the most liberal of these countries when it comes to porn. Their brilliant solution to the 'blowing 3 guys in camera' problem is to use a mosaic, because then people can safely look the other way because after all, the woman really isn't blowing 3 guys, right?
