Had the misfortune to wander to the boondocks, also known as Yokohama, earlier this week and while I staid pretty much from just a stone throw away from the station and the phone claimed to be connected to the Rakuten's own network I was not impressed.

The speed was anything from 5 to 50 Mbps but even worse the ping was over 30 ms all the time and my downloads seemed to stop pretty often for noticeable durations.
