I never liked gaijinpot. I remember posting a legit question about Japan and it wasn't anything offensive, disgusting or rude and I was banned.
Also a friend of mine posted legit questions about teaching English in Japan and his IP address was banned.
So in my opinion, very poorly run site and it was a shitty site as well. People were probably nervous about posting anything for fear of being banned for no goddamn reason and came here or went to reddit or Japanese guide forums lol.
