Seen a good movie recently ?

Most recent ones we watched were:
Tonde Saitama
Tenki no Ko
Parasite
Bad Boys For Life

Tonde Saitama was quite fun.
I also recently watched
鈴木家の嘘 (in English "lying to mom" I think)
若おかみは小学生!(okko's inn in English)

メランコリック is on my watch list, if I can get hold of it.

Just watched Joker on Amazon Prime Video (its not on Netflix), excellent. Joaquin Phoenix better than Heath Ledger who was already very good at it, in a different style.

The Irishman. Way overrated.
I thought the reviews were kinda like 'its ok' and I thought the movie was kind of 'ok'. don't feel like I wasted my time but at the same time it doesn't come close to the greats of the genre (Godfather 2, 1, Goodfellas, Scarface in that order), which is slightly disappointing given the ensemble cast.

I saw a very realistic porno where Mami Nagase was sucking dick with a surgical mask on. But then she took it off and probably has coronavirus now. :ROFLMAO:
ah man, search for Mami Nagase on pornhub and the first few selections are ok but it quickly gets into 'mami' meaning something quite different. gross.

Interesting. I was bored out of my mind. For me it was like watching Formula One, a Marathon, or the Tour de France; I understand the person / people Im watching are doing a really good job (Joaquin Phoenix in this case) but that doesn't necessarily make it interesting.

Thought this was better

lol! Good find! Always had a suspicion that Sesame Street was really a den of junkies, misfits and other trashy characters. :)

I've never seen her but if Minami Aizawa ever does uncensored porn I will need that two weeks quarantine to recover.

I have a one year free movie deal but they want to charge me. I guess I'd better ask the boss about her deal.
Yeah there are some exceptions for the recent / famous ones I suppose

Frenchy has to say that. He is that refined sophisticated gentleman that values character play above everything;)

The movie was ... well ... interesting, if considered it more an art experience rather than entertainment. Definitely not a movie I need to watch twice. Checklist item;)

Here are some films worth checking out at home during this surreal time of coronavirus.
Spike Lee’s list of 95 must-see movies for aspiring filmmakers. Cheers!

Watched a few movies recently:

  • 1917, directed by Shawn Mendes. A really great World War I film. It looks like it's done in one-shot. 8/10
  • Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-ho. A fantastic film about the rich and the poor in South Korea which was both funny and disturbing. 9/10
  • Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson. A fairly impressive modern murder mystery. I enjoyed it. 7.5/10
  • Marriage Story, directed by Noah Baumbach. Really well-acted and equally as well-written. I was blown away by the performances. 9/10
  • Ford v Ferrari, directed by James Mangold. Lots of nice shots. I'm not into driving but it had me hooked most of the way through. 7.5/10
  • Boyhood, directed by Richard Linklater. I love this type of movie. Not much of a plot but just so deeply nostalgic. Not for everyone. 8/10
  • Arrival, directed by Denis Villeneuve. A wonderful hard sci-fi film. Incredibly realistic and smart. I instantly wanted to re-watch it. 9.5/10

I liked Arrival a lot
On the Spike Lee list; Mean Streets is one of the most disappointing movies I've ever watched.
Stanley Kubrick is the most overrated director of all time. Space Odyssey bores me to the point of nausea, and clockwork orange is over-indulgent bullshit.

Watched 1917 in theaters recently and it surpassed all of my expectations. The cinematography and visual imagery was particularly amazing.
