Sexually Transmitted Disease (std) Talk

What is your source for this? It doesn't chime with what I've read. What I have read suggests to me that HPV 16 infection, in particular, increases your risk of penile / anal cancer. I had assumed that the latter was in the event that someone received anal sex from an infected partner. My experience with warts (ordinary warts on fingers etc.) is that the infection stays pretty local. I don't know if that applies to HPV 16.
I have considered getting vaccinated for HPV, mostly to reduce the chance of genital warts.

With regard to penile and anal cancer - I guess both can metastasize to other organs and end up being "full-blown" but keep an eye on your Johnson and you may notice some symptoms before that:

From the point of view of sudden metastasis, I think a skin carcinoma is one of the scariest - I had a friend die of a secondary brain tumor within weeks of discovering the primary skin cancer.:

Sorry, what I meant was you don't feel symptoms directly related to the HPV infection: no discharge, no itchy genitals, no burning when you urinate. You will definitely have symptoms for any cancers that the HPV creates down the road. I apologize if I wasn't clear enough.

I am also sorry to hear about your friend.

Ok, another update. My friend told me she doesn't have know if she has HPV. She misunderstood me when I asked if she tested positive for HPV. She told me that she tested and is waiting for the results now. The doctor doesn't think she has it based on what she told him. I will know the results in the near future.

Waited a few weeks to get tested after getting back just for peace of mind (had no symptoms, just wanted to be sure), everything turned out perfectly fine as expected! Just remember to get tested even if you're not showing any symptoms, some STDs can be asymptomatic, better safe than sorry!

We rely too much on antibiotics to treat bacterial infection. In the eastern bloc, healthcare systems developed bacteriophage therapies, which, while effective, are difficult for our systems to approve. (Multiple viruses administered in a variety of combinations - specific to each bacterial infection - doesn't lend itself to clinical trials).

I believe that this is the solution to the current arms race that we're in with bacteria. And the challenge is political rather than technical.

I have listened several times that in Yoshiwara the girls are checked once at month. Somebody knows if is true??
I've heard that too.
Appearantly any decent shop demands of their girls to get checked once a month.

Also i got my HPV injection when i was 15 if i remember correctly. My parents were against it but BEST DECISION EVER!

I wonder why parents would be against it. My mother was very much positive and wanted me to get it done as soon as possible.

It was a pretty new vaccine at the time and there were some horrorstories going around. I didn't have any negative effects though so no problem.

From what I've seen and know regarding HPV and cancer, it's more of a concern for women rather than men. You see more cervical cancer in women than penile cancer in men, hence why preventive vaccines are more encouraged in the former.

Then again, I keep reading that HPV is the number one cause of colorectal cancer in men.
I'm not sure where you got your stats but I think there are other more common causes than HPV for colorectal cancer. While HPV might serve as an increased risk for anal cancer amongst people who practice frequent anal sex with the disease, history of genital warts or HPV infection is not really the first thing I'd immediately jump to when diagnosing colorectal cancer.

Like what Not Even Dave says, the best way to confirm your current symptoms and give you peace of mind is a colonoscopy. Unless you have a strong medical history of colon cancer in your family, it would unlikely be cancer as it does take a fair bit of time for ca to manifest. For the more overly concerned or the very high risk, colonoscopies can be done regularly (like every 1 or 2 years, or if you're clean and low risk, 3-5 years).

I had a simple physical check from a really young doctor at the hospital and he told me he believes it is just IBS and not cancer, but I plan to get a second opinion from a specialist. It is funny that he told me he thinks it is only IBS with all the major swelling because swelling isn't a symptom of IBS at all...it is a symptom of inflammatory bowel disease aka IBD.
IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning that if you're still symptomatic but there is no clear textbook explanation or evidence that suggests that you have something more serious or a clear identifiable cause of your symptoms, a medical professional would consider the possibility of IBS.
IBD is quite identifiable and can be confirmed easy with colonoscopy. It is also a rather inconvenient disease that comes with a myriad of other symptoms, not only swelling and distention.

Although this may be unrelated to the current topic at hand, I too agree that the FDA can be rather overly strict (and political) with newer or experimental treatment modalities. But seeing how the FDA have allowed certain newer cancer drugs a fast track approval for practical use in the recent years, I would not be surprised that this can happen for phage therapy if antibiotic resistance becomes too big a hurdle to handle or there is increased recognized evidence of its effectiveness against multi resistant infections in the near future.

Hi guys, random question, I recently had a BBBJ from this, and am now freaking out about STDs from this and sumata. Has anyone heard of this place giving anyone an STD? Also, what is the likelihood of contracting an STD through BBBJ and Sumata?

I sure hope you are ok and that they don't have a reputation for spreading STD's...I was thinking about trying out their services someday...

The girls there are regularly tested for std's as you can see on their profile. It shows their last testing month. You should be fine but if it relaxes your mind, you can still make a test.

[Redacted] has a pretty good track record with health. Don't freak out, just get tested for peace of mind. I'm sure you're all good.

Thanks guys, I usually cover up even for just a BJ but the girl started sucking and i didn't say anything, so stupid, i should have just covered up, feels worse but I know myself that I'll freak out! Not worth the stress!

Yep exactly, once you get that peace of mind you'll feel better. Cheers man.

That site is very useful! I was reading the other post about the PinSaro, and got a little scared. I guess the only way to be 100% safe is abstinence! ;P But a condom can protect from most of the really bad things, other than HIV everything is mostly curable/treatable.

I was wondering are soaplands relatively safe regarding STDs? I know getting HIV is very hard, and harder in Japan. But what about the others?

Well just think about it this way, even though the women are regularly tested, all clients need to do is pay a little bit extra for unprotected oral and then the escort possibly gets infected this way. So even if the women get tested monthly, she could possibly be infected by a client the day after or even the same day of testing and there will be an entire month-long window before she realizes she has been infected. There is also the situation where some women are new and maybe their std info is still being "processed" aka watch out. I'm not talking about [Redacted] specifically, but just any establishment in general that regularly test their women.
