Sexually Transmitted Disease (std) Talk

Anyone know any clinic/ hospital that have genital warts/hpv treatment? Some strange warts pop out in my mouth and i want to have a test for sure. Go to Personal Health Clinic but they said even if your test positive there is currently no treatment for hpv. I know that there isn't a way to cure completely but aren't warts often get treated by laser or sth? Tried googled but apparently found no place that have laser treatment. Strange that we have this treatment in my country and easy to find, but cannot find it here in Japan.

Any idea where you got this from? the provider? or shop?

All warts are HPV.
Doesn't mean it has to be an STD strain one. We all got warts from time to time all over our body.
You should have just gone to a skin clinic for that. Warts are being removed by freezing it with cryotherapy. However, I can't be sure this applies when wart is inside the mouth.

You've been infected by a partner, all warts are caused by HPV, as the previous poster said. There are over 100 variants of HPV, most are benign but a few can cause oral & other cancers (Google Michael Douglas). I imagine most dermatologists will be able to treat your condition. If it's further down your throat, then an ENT specialist may be able to help. You need to get rid of the wart, the sooner the better, so you are not infectious.

A lady I know had them on her vocal cords. Not pretty, her voice changed a little after they were burnt off. Caused her a great deal of distress.

Going down on strangers is a risky business. I recall saying the same on another post but got slammed by one of the regulars on this site. Know the risks & make your choices.

You got slammed because you were engaging in baseless fearmongering, trying to drum up a scare over a virus that 90% of the adult population has already been infected with (probably closer to 99.9% in this group).

That's your opinion, and I disagree. If you think going down on P4P providers is a healthy lifestyle choice go ahead.......at least one person on this thread has warts in his mouth.

Nice try at twisting my words. You tried to drum up fear regarding CMV, a virus that almost every adult globally has been exposed to.

My response was:

Cool, then you know that CMV has a seroprevalence of up to 90% in most countries, and that most of us (given that the average male poster here is over 40) have already been infected, and that all you're doing is engaging in a little scaremongering.

Crawl back under your rock.

CMV. EBV HSV1 HSV2 HSV8 HCV

All of the above are orally transmissible. Might not kill you but hey why take a chance? Weigh up the risk and act as you see fit..

Go ask Michael Douglas if you think it's totally risk free to go down on s.active women.

It's great to have fun, less so to be giving your Mrs a special gift she might not want.

And never mind HIV, Chlamydia & our little mate Gonnococcus . These are manageable.

CMV. EBV HSV1 HSV2 HSV8 HCV

More of your scaremongering.

CMV - seroprevalence 90% (chances are you're already infected)
EBV - seroprevalence near 100% (you are almost certainly already infected)
HSV1 - predominantly oral infections, seroprevalence 60%, oral/genital transmission relatively unlikely without symptomatic case. (look before you lick)
HSV2 - predominantly genital infections, seroprevalence 20%, genital/oral transmission relatively unlikely without symptomatic case. (look before you lick)
HSV8 - rare outside sub saharan Africa, primarily associated with HIV infection.
HCV - seroprevalence 0.7%, zero clinical evidence of oral/genital transmission.

You contribute nothing to the board - why are you even here?

Statistics from Journal of Abnormal Perversions have less standing than say Lancet or JAMA.

Someone on this thread has been infected with some strain of HPV. I suppose you'd say it was a freak event. I beg to differ.

If you think it's safe to go down or play hide the sausage uncapped, best of British luck to you old son. Just don't go telling us it's 100 percent safe.

It’s like you read up on herpesviridae but never really looked further than the initial blurbs of what disease states the various subtypes can be associated with and routes of infection.

And you threw in EBV while you’re at it too now? Seriously? Course of action after your EBV confirmed diagnosis of mono is what? Go home and rest and thank the heavens that the tiredness is not CoVID or your thyroid going to shit. Yeah yeah, there’s more to do differential diagnosis on but let’s keep the case simple. Lol.

Damn bro, why not throw in rhinovirus and influenza while you’re at it? If you’re close enough for play, you’re close enough to breathe each other’s air. Yeah yeah, ribovirus vs herpesvirus. Oh wait, but you did include HCV there.

I’m not on about you talking about HSV-1 or 2, HPV, or HCV considering this forum’s nature. But when you throw in stuff like CMV and now EBV into the mix, come on man. And even HHV-8 where you really also should be talking about HIV while you’re at it (and more specifically AIDS).

If you are really a medical doctor like you say, it’s like you’re fresh out of med school acting like you’re all top dog and everyone is just waiting for the attending to catch wind of what you’re spewing to smack you into place. Or at least that’s what it’s like in my hospital.

Lots of people have been exposed to EBV & CMV, no question there. And infection isn't always sexually acquired. But, unlike the common flu, you really should try to avoid getting these baikins if you can.

Everyone has choices On my part I don't go down on strangers.

I'm not sure what strain of HPV Michael Douglas had (or if he was immunocompromised by other viral infections like CMV or EBV) . What I do know is he nearly died. Sorry if that scares anyone. No offence intended.

Back in the early days of HIV, gay men who insisted on anilingus would use dental dams. Perhaps Suds could bring some Saran wrap to the next party and show us how to use it on women.

Look, if you don't like to eat pussy, that's your thing, and you're welcome to it - but don't go making up bullshit comparisons to try to convince everyone else that your way is the best and/or only way.

If there are no visible symptoms (sores, discharge) or off odors the risks are, quite frankly, so low that they're almost not worth considering.

I would need to take up a STD test because I incidentally happened to engaged raw vaginal sex recently (early in this December), of course, I did clean myself with safety maneuvers. But I do not know where to start taking the test as a beginner. Hopefully, this may be a pinned thread or a highlight for those who are just newcomers like me to any country around the world.

So I write this question format in this thread as a guy.

For those who are new and just getting started to have a 1st STD test, and/or engaging in a very safe sex equipped with condom, which test should take? Should I or someone take HIV test for checking STD? Or which STD test/s do you recommend to take?

If a man like me had sex a woman through penetrating her vagina in raw, which test/s should men take?

If the man had sex the person (either female or transsexual) through penetrating her anus in raw, which test/s should men take?

If the man had received oral sex from the woman, and/or had did a cunnilingus action/licking on her pussy, should we take the STD test? And if yes, which test/s should men take?

Guide me if I'm expecting something wrong: If I engage raw sex, and then take maybe 1 or 2 tests, how much should I expect to pay? Wouldn't be that much as 45,000 yen + or higher if the doctor may say I have a symptom/s, isn't it?
What if the doctor may say I don't have symptoms even I say my penis hole is painful, would this cost the 100% of these testing as much as 100,000 yen + or higher, isn't it?

I will wait to hear the clear answers. So thank you for helping in advance.

Go and see a urologist. They can do urine and blood tests for STIs whether or not you have symptoms. A word of warning though: any visits to regular clinics will be billed to your health insurance card. If you do not want this appearing, visit an STI clinic that offers anonymous treatment. One in Tokyo is Private Care Clinic in Shinjuku and Tokyo.

Oh thank you for advising. Yeah, i prefer to pay the test anonymously. Actually, mine is social insurance card (not national) handled by my mother. So in other words, if costs really incur to the insurance card, my mother should pay that hefty cost of the test. I just don't want her to pay it.

Thank you, Manager. I will walk-in to that clinic. I have questions for that clinic: Does each test cost 3,850~19,800 yen? Or 2 or more tests cost 3,850~19,800 yen in total, isn't it?
What do you think about Japan Healthcare Info, and Ginza Hikari Clinic?

I just received the email message from Japan Healthcare Info, I quote this:

Japan Healthcare Email Content said:

  2. Your current symptoms
  3. Which tests would you like to take?

These are simply ranges for cost -- I assume certain tests cost less and others are more expensive. They don't break down the details, but that does seem to be the min-max costs for tests and treatment.

Regarding the email you got... quite frankly, I think it would be more expensive just based on what's written there. But, I guess it depends on the final choice of tests and what medicine is needed.
You're automatically adding 6500 yen for assistance and Doctor fees to the 2nd one.

Hi TAG people,

More than 2 years ago, I had a serious fever (almost popping 40°) after a trip in the Philippines. Almost 40° fever, so I was down for at least 3 days. I went to the hospital and they didn't find an explanation to the fever. Malaria and other turned out to be negative. I was with my then girlfiend (now wife) and they asked to talk with me privately.

They told me about HIV and I became livid just by this word. Then they calmed me down and told me if I did recent tests as it could be a possibility HIV could be causing this. I was absolutely terrified and for a reason I cannot fathom I refused the test. (absolutely stupid for sure)

I remember that I had an emotional shock at work and the fever kicked in the very same day. Which was cured with antibiotics in 2 days. I'm not even sure my trip to the Philippines is the cause, but I do remember being eaten by moskitoes. (didn't have any P4P there whatsoever)
Or maybe was I the first COVID case? :bored:

It's been more than 2 years and I'm still thinking, sometimes worried to death about it. Still avoiding sex with my wife out of fear.
I know the test is the only way out to find out.

As for my sexual past, I did have unprotected sex with past girlfriends but mostly covered. As for P4P, I always used condoms. (even with blowjobs)

Thinking back, I don't think I took huge risks but still, one unprotected intercouse could be enough to contract it.

I know people will tell me to get tested (at this point, I don't have a choice) but fear and anxiety broke me for the past months and just wanted to share this and get this out of my chest.

Waw…

Is it me or this thread is full of non sense and useless scaremongering talks mostly from noobs or obviously misinformed people?
If you guys are freaking out for the so few things you did…
It’s maybe time to stop P4P and start another activity.
