If you're a heterosexual man in Japan who's not a drug user, the chances of you getting HIV are so incredibly low that they're practically zero.

Been doing p4p for ~6 months now so was thinking I should probably get tested (better safe than sorry and all that).
Can't say I have any symptoms of anything - nor have I engaged in any particularly dangerous acts (at worst bbbj/dfk/DATY).

Yeah very unlikely to get HIV. You should get tested though (for all the stds) as if she's doing it raw with you, she's probably doing the same with multiple sexual partners.

Also going to the clinic and talking to the doctor etc will help your stress levels.

Ive been in a similar situation, stressful. I wouldnt say dont do p4p anymore, but just dont put yourself in the situation a provider may jump on your dick without a condom.

Not sure if this question belongs here or in some other soapland q&a thread, but here we go:
we all know it's good practice to pee after sex to help flush out bacteria and prevent even common things like UTI. What's the etiquette for peeing after a soapland session? Do you just pee in the bathing area? give the lady a warning? pay extra for the partial golden shower? or as they usher you out at the end, ask to use the toire first before leaving?

I've always done the last option and my japanese isn't quite good enough to ask the lady about best practices.

In Japan the local HPV vaccine is mostly administered for women only whereas in many Western countries both genders are encouraged to take it at a young age. You can still take it at a later age, it's only suggested to take it earlier because of the expectation you will have more sexual partners when you are younger.

I imagine too, that as an older person, they may feel you have already been exposed to HPV. AFAIK, there is not test yet to determine if you have it or not. They can only determine that after you develop symptoms later in life. For men too, I think it is not such a dire thing. (Just my layman's understanding). I was perfectly willing to pay to get vaxxed, but I felt they were saying it wasn't effective in my case. Not sure. But thanks for replies.

Then the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended both females and males get vaccinated up to age 26. However, people can get vaccinated up to age 45"

So it seems I have missed it. Too old.

I think you can still get it, it just might take a little bit of extra work. I took mine at a clinic and they didn't really ask me too much about why I wanted it. It's not forbidden for people above 45, it's just not typically recommended.

Edit: oh and of course, insurance likely won't cover it for people over 45 unless you can get your primary doc to say it's medically necessary.

I have been going to city hall for their free test periodically, however, they only test for HIV and syphilis. I usually get a test when I get home but I haven't been back home nor will I be going back home in the near future.

The personal care clinic in yushima recommended lots of times on this thread is totally anonymous.

Just remember the fake name and date of birth you give them as you'll need it to access your results online.

They are bilingual so you dont need to worry about the how to order in japanese part.

For your use, here's a list of some good fake names. Also handy when you meet a crazy person at the Hub and want to find out if it's true that crazy is better at sex, but would like to wake up with the correct number of holes in your body. For the birthday, use the nearest big holiday to your actual birthdate. Even a day or two off from your actual date is enough to work for identity obfuscation. Amazing how I happen to share a birthday with Queen Victoria.
