悪いお知らせで申し訳ありません。I struggle with what kind of language I should use. I don't wanna burn a bridge with them, or worse, burn that bridge for all foreigners. Should I be matter of factly and to the point? Should I be apologetic (even though I may have got it from one of them) ?
thank you, that's really helpful!

I've contacted the shop and this is their response:
am I reading too much into it or are they basically saying they're gonna ignore it, even though mycoplasma is known to be asymptomatic in women?
I think because MOST of the time it's not that serious? Like herpes; it's prevalent and asymptomatic and therefore not that big a deal?I wonder why most clinics don't usually test for Mycoplasma Genitalium as it is not self-limiting, it's sometimes asymptomatic and can cause long-term issues when it infects the genitals.

Anyway you CAN easily get tested for it, yobokai, etc.
most clinics provide this test. but not many stores or providers mandate this.I wonder why most clinics don't usually test for Mycoplasma Genitalium as it is not self-limiting, it's sometimes asymptomatic and can cause long-term issues when it infects the genitals.
From what I understand, mycoplasma is a family of bacteria, some of which are transmitted sexually and some of which are not. The symptoms I had were very Chlamydia-esque (strictly speaking they found it in my throat, not penis, but I still had genital symptoms), that's why I went to an STD clinic instead of a regular clinic."Mycoplasma" just means a bacterial infection. Can be an STD, or in a lung, or whatever. They also really aren't that big a deal. I mean technically it's an STD because you got from sex and maybe it affects a sex organ, but if you DFK'd a girl with bronchitis you'd probably get sick and so…is that an STD?
Anyway it's no big deal and you did the right thing. TBH the shop won't do a thing it's up to her and her alone, though reputable shops will require regular testing in general.
Think of it like herpes, a family of related bacteria with a preference for certain areas of the body. But unlike herpes, can be cured. From what I understand, mycoplasma is a family of bacteria, some of which are transmitted sexually and some of which are not.

Well, I have a bit of an update.. I was talking to one of the girls via LINE and she seemed not too concerned. So we talked a bit and it turns out she misunderstood what mycoplasma is, because a bacteria in the same family can also cause pneumonia or whatever. So I had to re-explain that I have an STD, which she thanked me for informing her and assured me she's gonna get herself tested. Then I realized the shop I contacted before (see above) probably had the same misunderstanding, so I contacted them again today. They left me on read. It's been hours. Not very professional, but I feel like I've done everything I could at this point.
...
This could have been avoided if I got like Chlamydia or something, but noooo, I had to get the confusingly named one.
not to forget this only prevent HIV, and if you have partner, potential of divorce due to this is not zero.Maybe this'll help those who've never heard of it, but there is a drug called PrEP which prevents HIV with 99% success.
Newer versions like Descovy have greatly reduced this issue to close to zero...but does have some risk so only if you actually need it, it can be rough on your kidneys.
PrEP doesn't prevent other STDs. It's statistically difficult to get HIV from unprotected vaginal sex.Maybe this'll help those who've never heard of it, but there is a drug called PrEP which prevents HIV with 99% success.
It's generally well known among sex workers and gay men, if you're someone who does a ton of p4p it might also be worth looking at (but does have some risk so only if you actually need it, it can be rough on your kidneys).

HIV is really the only really bad STI you can get nowadays, all the others are either curable with antibiotics or antiretrovirals, or have a vaccine, or herpes (which most people have already anyway so who cares).
Said every guy who got HIV banging girls in Thailand. No point damaging your body with PrEP just for unprotected vaginal sex.
Other illnesses or side effects are still treatable one way or another. HIV isn't.I believe the chances of a male getting HIV from an HIV-infected woman via vaginal sex is like 1/2500.
No point damaging your body with PrEP just for unprotected vaginal sex.

I'll take my chances with PrEP rather than HIV lol.
Yeah, doesn't help that there are many providers and clients out there that are abusing antibiotics as another form of PrEP lol.
People have been talking about this for years. Has been more of a horror story non issue so far. Haven't heard of anyone who actually has permanent gonnorhea.
