Hello folks!

I just received my iPhone 8 Plus today. My iPhone 6S cracked so hard, that I decided to renew model, rather than get a panel fixed.

I also bought bluetooth ear phones. They are amazing!!! what a high tech! No need to worry of, once the plug comes off and you get the sound aloud blasted inside the train, and you get embarrassed!

It flicks beautifully!!!
But one point, I use flick panel, rather than keyboard, as it's easier for me, and I can't double flick. I think I did until iPhone6S. I didn't have to tap each single letter. It seems only one at a time.

I'm curious to know, either you bought 8, or you wait for Ⅹ next month, or you remain.

I heard there weren't much queue worldwide, and people didn't care much of iPhone 8 release.

But, good choice, though. I'm happy that I bought it!!!

Waiting...

Officially, I'm waiting until I can see and compare the 8 and the X before deciding.

I have other issues that relate to moving to iOS 11 - so, I have to wait anyway.

I also don't like buying something from the 1st production run. Let's see what bugs or issues crop up from either the X or 8.

For now, my 6 will do until I'm set to change.

It may be January before I decide, lol.

I like your case!!

And as for now I’m gonna stay with my iPhone 7. I just upgraded around end of last year and the iPhone 8 doesn’t have that many changes to make it worth buying at the moment.
As for the X: too expensive and I’m not a big fan of frameless screens. I’m pretty happy with my 7 so far :)

I also don’t like it that the 8 comes with so few colors and the back isn’t even colored as well. At least for the gold. Kind of a disappointment

Congrats on the new device purchase!
I already upgraded to iPhone 7 this summer, thus there is no immediate need to do upgrades any time soon.
iPhone 8 doesn't really have that many improvements over iPhone 7 and X feels a bit too experimental. I would like to play around with iPhone X, maybe develop some application for it and etc., but wouldn't consider to use it as my primary communication device.

Thank you for the comment, Manager!
It's interesting that another model comes out in weeks later, but ideally it must be good to compare before you purchase it. Maybe that's why, it didn't get much queued this time.

You have plenty of time to check them out, then!

But, congrats on the new device.

Thanks!!!

Yes, I heard 7 and 8 didn't change much, so that cases can be used 7 ones.
Agree, the colour was little disappointing, as only 3 choices, and the back side is not fullcoloured, as you mentioned.I wish red remained on 8. As, it's the original colour image for "Apple" as Machintosh!!

I bought the case from here. You might like some other types, as well. (╹◡╹)

Thank you!!! It's since my 6S, so I'm glad it happened this time for me.

I agree.
I have a feeling, iPhone will improve much better from now on. Hope Ⅹ will be more stable, flexible device, that Apple still make users, believers excited.

Thanks for sharing your POV.

When I read the title, I thought it was a car phone mount but then realised you're referring to a phone case, which I guess holds phones too:)

Is flick panel something like swype for typing (android)?

In terms of smartphone, I only just got an Lg V20 this year. I'd upgrade when my phone loses an essential function in some way (dated hardware/software or... I put it in back pocket and sit). Sometimes I think I was one of the last 90s kids to adopt the smartphone for personal use... Was using a Nokia brick until 2016 ( they shut down 2G signal and forced my hand.)

So I guess the summary is I won't be getting the new iPhone. I do like reading about the technological developments each new generation brings though.

I took a long time to embrace smartphones too. But the camera feature finally hooked me.

Currently an android user, but could care less.

I was tempted to pre-order iPhone X once it's possibe to do but in the end I decided to wait to see if next iPhone will ditch Face ID and have Touch ID embedded in the screen. I rather use Touch ID than Face ID. Might get iPhone 8 though, if there's a BOGO promotion (not the AT&T one) for the SUICA functionality.

Its all fun and games until the person who mugs you and steals your phone cuts your finger off as well.

Planning on an 8.
Anyone walking around with an X is just flashing how much money they flushed.

Wait, what? I thought that was the whole product appeal with Apple?

Still makes me smile when I see all the broken iPhone screens in trains. Maybe the user interface in Android is not as great but at least Android users can afford to have unbroken phones with them.

It always baffles me with the broken screens. How do people manage to do that? Never ever had I a broken screen with an iPhone. Not even a scratch... are people throwing their phones around or what?

Just carelessness and I've also had people tell me that they had know idea that they could get their screen replaced* instead of getting a new phone.

(*there are however some low quality chinese knockoff screens floating around, don't go for the 6-8,000 yen repairs. Go for ~10-12,000 yen, those are much better quality. Cost varies based on size, model/age of phone.)
