Hello if my Holiday Bonus comes in Late Dec / I will use it on a trip to Japan for a 2nd time & Hong Kong for a 1st time. I do my own homework & I can find clean cheap places to stay. I was wondering if anyone can Recommend ME any Cheap Hotels ( places to stay ) That understand English ( I can speak very slowly / point ) that is W/IN a 20min walk ea way to Kabuki-cho ( SEX ) that allows guests / single private room W/ air condition / bath / shower / toilet & non-smoking. ( I would consider sharing bathroom W/ bath, shower & toilet ) Has coin laundry in the building OR laundry service. The Cheapest that I no of is still Vintage Shinjuku were I stayed last time for 4 nights / I still see a room rate for Late Feb 2011 for that Hotel for 7000 - 8000 yen ea night. Thank You SO Very Much

Shinjuku itself is just expensive to stay in, but maybe you can find a business hotel that has reasonable rates. Most of these hotels are on the west side of Shinjuku. Kabukicho is on the east side and it can take a good 30 minute walk depending how far you are from the station (coming from the west side).

You can start searching here: http://www.tripadvisor.com

Keep in mind that the smaller, cheaper hotels may not have English speaking staff. Maybe Japanese speaking only... If you can get by with some basic Japanese phrases, you should be ok.

Anyway, focus on business hotels and not the big-name touristy ones.

I just wanted to say I understand your trying to help me w/that said Thank You / I all ready came across that website / I can find LOTS cheaper then what they offer.

There are a few hotels I've seen advertised for 6,000-7,000 yen/night, but usually have crazy restrictions on when those rates apply. I've never been able to successfully book anything under 9,000 yen/night in central Tokyo. (I usually search for friends or family that are coming to visit)

I've known a number of people that have used the Washington Hotel chain:

Rate isn't that bad and the rooms are usually very nice for a business hotel setting.
