Really dumb question. I have a friend in the Tokyo area that I have to send a gift to. They requested a Starbucks gift card. I'm not in the country and my search revealed that it must be purchased in the country in question.

I have a few friends who are local who can help if needed, but I want to clarify, do they actually sell Starbucks gift cards in Japan? It wasn't clear on any of the Starbucks websites I could find.

Thanks...

They do. They are basically cards you can add money to and give as a gift. The card can be refilled by the user - some of the cards designs they put out, sell out pretty quickly. But they always have the generic cards available at each shop.
