Talking during massages

Just a quick question. Do you guys usually chat a lot when you're getting a massage?

I'm usually quite quiet and just relax, but seems like others enjoy talking to the provider while they're been massaged. Am I becoming a boring, uncommunicative old git? Are my providers being bored to tears by my lack of conversation?

I don’t go to sexual massages but if i go to regular ones I absolutely dont talk. I go there to relax, not to make awkward small talk. I think its probably also better for them to not have to make the effort to talk and be able to let their thoughts run free.
There are also language barreers since the staff is usually Chinese.
Of course i still thank them politely and tell them if i enjoyed it :)

Normal massage? I don't talk at all, I rather just lie there and relax. Erotic massages? I try to make small talk to make it less awkward if I feel the situation is awkward.

I don't think it's being boring per se, a massage is supposed to be relaxing and being quiet is part of some people's routine to get relaxed. Major plus if the massage gets you sleepy. I had a massage once where I got so relaxed that I fell asleep on the bed while it was going on. If the provider wanted to talk they would have engaged earlier

I learned to not let them know I speak Chinese until the massage is over. Too often they would want to chat up a storm while I just wanted to tune out from everything.

My go to masseuse gets so into the massage she forgets to talk. She genuinely loves putting back together old fart's bodies.

Lately she asks me afterwards whats going on in the rooms around us because she usually loves to eavesdrop but concentrates too much lol.

I don't mind chatting during service with most other types of providers though (dentists, doctors, taxi drivers, escorts, etc).

Depends. With one of my regulars for legit massage, we have good conversations, and it adds to it. With others, usually silence.

With Ai, not much talk other than her asking me to flip over, but some nice chats after and before. With the few girls I’ve seen at AF/AR I enjoy chatting with them, they’re sweet, and the massage isn’t that great to begin with, so nothing lost....

It really depends on chemistry and ability - some providers can do a perfectly fine job while chatting away, some need to concentrate and chatting throws them off.

Nope. During a regular massage, or the massage part of the service, I'm there to relax and am quiet. I like strong shiatsu type massages and especially if the massage is good, I won't be able to talk. Maybe at the start of the massage there may be some talk but once they really get into it, my talking stops.

I don't want to share much of "the other side of me" kind of hobbies, travel, etc. personal information, realistic stories, but the truth is when at a LH or at a hotel, it's funny alot of guys goes, "I used to play music, too!" that's what I find an awkward, and donno what kind of reaction should I make. My current massage therapist wants to learn English so she can be assigned to English speaking Gaijin customers. She sometimes wants to learn English translations for massage terms like "gentle", "deep", "slow stroke" etc.. She really understands the kind of massage I like so I happily offer her English lessons :) She's extremely good at sports massage and was able to fix an almost frozen shoulder. I call it a happy ending!

Eh, I went to Ai and she spoke to me in Chinese the moment she saw me. That kinda kickstarted a lengthy convo during the massage, not that I disliked it but it was damn relaxing for me and the talk made me not fall asleep.

But to this I have to agree. When I was in China, if you spoke Chinese and you weren't from the mainland, they automatically become interested in you. They begin asking you questions on how/where you learn Chinese and the whole 9 yards. I guess it's the same for if you speak Japanese and you don't suck at it?

Regular massages here (US) I do not talk much at all especially if it’s a guy.
In Japan I talk if the girl is cute/interesting to me. I have had some really good times that it seems others have not so maybe it’s because they feel closer to me.
I am sure a lot of people treat them like they are beneath them or just as a service provider.. or maybe they themselves feel that way sometimes. I am amazed how much information some have given me. I’m not gullible enough to think that these people are always staring at their deepest secrets with me maybe most of the things I hear our complete fabricated stories but the fact is they seem really happy telling me. Really? I hate it when hair dressers/nail artists/beauticians ask personal questions. Its like you’re trapped and if you run off your look is fucked.

And i dont think you are able to talk during the dentist is doing his job anyway :p

Important phrases indeed!! I really don't like giving English lessons during a session tho... it's like I'm paying to work!!

I actually had someone, constantly correcting my English, during my session. I said to him, you didn't pay to give English lesson!! when I was down there sucking his cock! lol. That guy was born to be an English teacher, it's the fate I respect that, but when you pay for p4p, you paid to relax. Forget abt work, life in reality, just focus the time with an escort! You don't want to end up complaining, I didn't get paid for my English teaching, don't get into that trap, please!
