RD Terrible experience with Robo Deli Umi

https://www.robodeli.net/top
Pretty sure Umi is pretty new too. RD is kinda trying to restructure right now as they lost alot of their more popular providers, and others are possibly moving to Osaka for their new store.

So they both hired a lot of new ones recently and are promoting them. Lots of people may be dipping their toes in to see if they'll enjoy it.

Their ads are constantly pay stubs of people making 100,000¥+ in a day.
Interesting. Opening a shop in Osaka. More options for Kansai people.

100%. Always happy for more in Osaka it's such a charming place and frankly my favorite (though I like Sapporo too and Tokyo is great). More for that region is always welcome and Robo Deli is a known quantity.

Maybe foreign tourists will give them some business but honestly I can not see them doing too well with locals while there is competition with stores like do M okusan. I don't think they will attract many Japanese clients if they will have the same prices as Tokyo. Kansai market is not that great.
Lots of tourists there nowadays though so that might keep them afloat.

I agree. I think it's hard or local shops make it hard for new players to come in. I messaged a popoular DH shop if they plan to expand in Osaka/Kansai and their answer was no.

Honestly the path I see (am guessing) for them is foreigners yeah. I know a few who have foreigner/tourists as their bread and butter so to speak.

But RD could definitely fail in Osaka with you on that. They delayed opening 2-3 times and have next to no one on the roster- and two are visitors from Shinjuku...

But even the places I went to in 2024 that waived Gaijin tax want more than RD for less now, 10,000+ Gaijin tax on a 16,000 meeting (or 15,000) is painful.

But then again tourists will probably happily pay that too :(
