The 10 Commandments of Nanpa

More on-topic: it’s been a long time I didnt have a peek at those gutter sites like Lolcow or PULL (Pretty Ugly Little Liars). Wish I had not watched again. The hate and slut shaming that these foreign ladies in Tokyo who are discussed there get... ok, a few are clear nutjobs but most of them just wanting to have fun, it seems... it is nauseating.

Why do I mention this here?

Coz we are still in a world when as a guy you are kinda « expected » to chase girls and even get nanpa education if you’re not good at it (...and shame on you if you prefer to pay and its mutually agreed), whereas a woman who seems a bit too much into this type of lifestyle is publicly ridiculed , even more so if they are into escorting or sugaring as well.
Not that I’m a saint of course, I still have those biases somewhere in the reptilian brain too... at least sometimes i try to catch myself :(

Agreed. I’ve never understood the rationale behind spending time online solely to spread vitriol.

Many of the principles @Sinapse puts forward would be lauded in a business setting. All but perhaps 6 and 9 could be taken right out of any corporate leadership curriculum. The point is nothing happens in business or personal if you mindlessly and passively accept the status quo put in front of you. I would go as far to say that if you are in any leadership position in business and accountable for growing it and you don’t adopt these kinds of principles, your career will likely be short lived indeed.

The societal double standards outside the office however deem you should keep your head down. Maybe play video games, eat your potato chips and McDonalds, binge on Netflix or online shopping, play with your iPhone 24/7 or whatnot. Who gets to decide this? The Matrix is not some fantasy story. Of course like in business, things illegal or which cause harm to others should not be accepted. However, a lot of what society says is “good and proper” roles for both men and women is bullshit. Those who participate here on TAG have already somewhat embraced that. I perceive what @Sinapse is saying is that these societal constructs can be challenged.

Personally, I feel the nampa lifestyle involves a helluva lot of time and energy for the pursuit of getting laid. But anyone could judge someone in the business world for the time and energy they put into the pure pursuit of making more money (than they probably really need anyway). I choose to judge neither case. But I do approve of those who at least consider that the constructed world around them is not what it seems. This is the start of being awake.

This guy gets it!!

I was curious so googled « ferret as a pet » and really they seem like a big pain in the ass (stealing and hiding things etc) but maybe the article writer had a grudge
Sounds better than when a cat gives you a dead animal as a gift and leaves it on your pillow to wake up to. :hungover:

That's still better than them leaving you a half-dead animal as a gift on your pillow....

You could also wake up next to a pile of crap that an animal left by your face.

Or half a dead animal...

Or the last meal ingested plus hairballs.

Mind you I suppose I could have draped the guilty cat, all 8kg of him, over my shoulders and gone on the prowl, as all he ever wanted to be was everyone's best friend. Dumb as a sack of rocks (I saw the stupid critter walk head first into a wall once) but adorable (apart from the vomiting thing).

What was this thread about?

It doesn't matter. His audience is young men who are easily impressed with someone who talks shit, confidently.
Oh I meet guys like that everyday, and some ladies as well, maybe they should start a side-business as nanpa instructors too!

It's actually of critical importance what women respond to, whether or not you believe that.

And my "audience" is more diverse that you might imagine and my teachings more complex than I'm sure you give me credit for. But carry on with your wild assumptions
