Last Saturday (2/19) I decided to try my luck trolling through Yoshiwara for a good soapland experience "off the street" (instead of going for the much surer bet of another King's Club appointment...see other threads). Somehow, with my usual good luck, I hit a jackpot.

The place is called "Toku Betsu Shitsu" which translates roughly as "The Really Special Room" I think. (Anyone with better Japanese please give us a better translation.) The address is 4-32-1 Senzoku (Senzoku 4-chome is Yoshiwara, basically), and the shop's phone number is 03-3871-2561 or 080-1174-0165. I am not sure if the mobile number (the second one) is for the whole shop or if it belongs to the English speaking staff member (male) with whom I dealt. If your Japanese is not a lot better than mine, which it may well be, he is the guy you want to talk to, of course...or maybe they have other English speaking staff I didn't meet, but no one else I saw working "in the front" seemed to speak English. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name.

Even better and the reason I'd call the place a jackpot is that I the girl, Yuri, who took me to the room spoke limited, but perfectly serviceable for the purpose, English. She told me that she once had an American bf and has spent some time a few places in the US. Being able to talk to your P4P partner really enhances the experience imo, and I'd recommend requesting her or another English speaking girl (if they have any others...she was the only one available that night). She was also VERY skilled in her service; I have never had less than a superior erotic experience in a Yoshiwara soapland, but I think this was my best one ever. Moreover, she is very sweet and friendly and *honest*. In my post-pops bliss I stupidly managed to leave something small and fairly valuable in the room; she went to A LOT of trouble to find it and return it to me later...only in Japan! I will definitely be returning to The Really Special Room and to see Yuri.

A few more particulars: The service was pretty much the standard soapland deal - scrubbing on the stool, in the tub together, nuru on the mat (where Yuri had a few moves I'd never experienced before) and on the bed. They only offered me a single choice of courses, 90 min for JPY45,500...of which JPY10,000 was an extra "gaijin charge", btw. A bit high by current standards I think, but much cheaper than I used to pay a few years ago and worth it for the added quality, imo.

There is no romanji on the signs on the front of the shop, which is usually (I think) a bad sign for being gaijin-friendly, so I was slightly surprised when the tout out front approached me as I walked slowly passed. He did not speak any English but soon summoned the guy who did when I showed a bit of interest and did not react badly when he told me (in Japanese) about the JPY10,000 surcharge I'd be asked to pay over the price posted outside.

Anyway, I'd rate this place above King's Club (which is also quite good) and particularly suggest Yuri to anyone who would like an English speaking companion in the room.

No, I am pretty sure that it is not. There are actually two different women listed as "Yuri" on The 10,000Yen Roppongi website, but neither matches my recollection of The Really Special Room's Yuri in either body or face (lips and chin only...since that is about all you can actually see in the website photos).

Since The Really Special Room does not appear to have a website...none listed on their meishi nor turned up by Google (but the latter means little since the shop does not use the/my English translation of its name)...I cannot compare photos or stats or use tineye.com etc for a direct comparison.

Of course if the photos were taken at different times in the past and/or with different make-up and/or photoshopped differently etc and/or if my memory is not so good (*definitely* the case!), I could be wrong.

Anyway, it is not very likely even without checking since she would probably use two different working names even if she were doing P4P in two such different modes/venues. It is very unlikely that her name is actually Yuri, I assume.

No, nothing special about The Really Special Room (despite its name) beyond what has been posted in some of the general soapland threads. However, I have never personally felt cheated in any way, not even close, in a Yoshiwara soapland. Just deal with them in a straightforward way and expect to be treated in a similar way in return...not that you should close your eyes to any possible problems, but I don't think you need to be particularly alert about "cheating" either.

I was shown a set of pictures, but I chose her entirely on the suggestion of the English-speaking (male) front room staff member I mentioned in my post above. He said that her service is "superior level" and that she speaks English; the latter clinched the deal for me. If the shop has other English speaking hostesses, they either weren't available when I was there or he chose not to suggest them for some reason.

Btw, I don't find the gallery of pictures of hostesses available in soaplands and other Japanese commercial sex services of various sorts very useful at all. To me, the photos are all so similar in style, lighting, poses, make-up, style of dress and so forth that 80% of them look indistinguishable to me.
