In other words: Rules for thee, but not for mebecause they swore me to secrecy

We keep raw service discussion under wraps because randos read this site and then think they are entitled to something because they read about it here, happening with someone else. It's the people with poor comprehension and manners that are out to destroy whats available. As a tourist, they don't care as they'll leave Japan and in some cases, never to return… so zero impact on themselves. Meanwhile, residents here are caught in the wake of said tourist destruction…
The first rule about the secret forum is don't talk about the secret forum.quoting website tenchou:
I will say I wish we had a secret subforum dedicated to it for high quality information that wouldn't leak out to socially retarded foreigners... or maybe we already have one and I'm not in it, LOL.
Same thing with hotel bookings, many charge 100% if you cancel less than 24 hrs before stay. Nothing weird at all. There is a similar issues with high end restaurants. Have heard of a few places that won't take reservations from tourists without a deposit charge because the risk of cancellation is significantly higher.
Booking lots of things and then canceling or no showing in a country you'll never visit again is actually CONVENIENT; overbook and then at the last minute choose what you actually want to do? With no repercussions? How great is that?
From a shop perspective cancels are the WORST. At least a shit customer who gets kicked out has PAID.
That makes sense – thanks for explaining. You don't have to be a genius to figure out which shops/girls offer this to Japanese customers, but that doesn't mean that this an option for foreigners. We had threads here about high end shops reducing service for foreigners and advising girls to not even kiss. What locals and foreigners can expect at shops are two separate things.
Discussing this topic here will only lead to wrong expectations and foreigners with little experience pestering girls/shops about it. Nothing positive will ever come from it.
For further clarification, I reached out to someone I am a regular with, and she mentioned that if you're new to the store, the tax will increase to 20k. However, if you're a returning customer, the fees will remain the same as they were before the increase.Don't know if it is true or not,but there are rumors , that Hisyo may increase foreigners' fee up to $100000 yen.😑😭
Don't know when it will enforce,or will Hisyo's sister shops follow this practice or not.
How much do the sister shops share customer info? I've been to Segretario but not Hisyo or Etoile. I wonder if I will be exempt from an increased foreigner fee.I reached out to someone I am a regular with, and she mentioned that if you're new to the store, the tax will increase to 20k. Just made a booking via X at Hisyo. Can confirm that the total cost is now 100k for a new customerI reached out to someone I am a regular with, and she mentioned that if you're new to the store, the tax will increase to 20k. ...And I guess people will just gladly pay it, no wonder they charge itJust made a booking via X at Hisyo. Can confirm that the total cost is now 100k for a new customer
No clue, you can always try.How much do the sister shops share customer info? I've been to Segretario but not Hisyo or Etoile. I wonder if I will be exempt from an increased foreigner fee.
I may try next trip just to get a data point on that one.No clue, you can always try.

Did you guys book direct with a girl or through the shop? Can confirm that foreigner pricing is now 100,000 yen, up from 90,000 yen. Doesn't matter if you're fluent in Japanese, they go by nationality.

The old price wasn't ¥90,000. The regular price is ¥67,500 and with the old gaijin tax of ¥10,000 it came out to ¥77,500, just like Segretario. Can confirm that foreigner pricing is now 100,000 yen, up from 90,000 yen. Doesn't matter if you're fluent in Japanese, they go by nationality.
And ruins it for everyone else. I was actually of that mindset for a while- who cares about a few yen? There is quite a large segment of clients who is not price sensitive, though...
and some tourists even insist on tippingIt is what it is
Taiwan tourists have unlimited cash and don't care about gaijin tax
Maybe if you go to the PLANTs it won't be as bad. Just don't sleep with Cagalli please.and some tourists even insist on tipping
I guess the only way to play with reasonable price for me in this area is to get the passport.
Minyinal is correct with the pricing. 32.5k tax is disgusting; if I had to pay, I would rather go somewhere else. there are plenty of other shops to choose from....The old price wasn't ¥90,000. With the new total price of ¥100,000, it comes out to a gaijin tax of ¥32,500. It's downright insulting and people really should steer clear of the shop at that price.
