some high end shops, some do giving 10k discount for new girls, while others don't.

i do agree with you even high end shop girls do have 'attitude' problem like 'they don't want to bother'.

I asked earlier and the answers were no and yes. It was an easy decision to stop trying to decipher the messages after that.

I'm thinking of visiting the soaplands and I've done some research but I just have one question that I can't find a good answer for. I am Asian but have no Japanese speaking/writing ability. Am I going to get turned away when I walk into these places speaking English? If not, how "hard" is it going to be for me to have a good time? Would google translate suffice? :)

If it helps the places I was thinking are Last Scene or Hishoshitsu

Nah, it wasn't a problem for me. Many places are ok with English only. Last scene probably is one of them since their sister shop satin doll is ok with it. If they turn you away, no harm done. Just take your money elsewhere. Now about having a 'good time' - I think that's highly dependant on you/your expectations, and the girl you pick.

The high end shops tend to be more acceptable of no Japanese ability. The foreign friendly places that are stricter on Japanese ability are usually the more affordable places that have young but less experienced girls afaik. (Dolce, Amuse)

I think both of the shops you mentioned should be fine.

Has anyone been to Amuse lately? I dropped by shortly after noon today (a cold, rainy Tuesday) and, when I asked in Japanese if foreigners were allowed, the woman and man inside exchanged glances and said "Japanese only." I was pretty skeptical since I've read reviews of this place and its former incarnation, Charmant, on this very website, but I just smiled and said "I see" and went on my merry way.
