Ticket system for Seiyuu events in Japan

Obviously I won't be able to do anything this year because of the fun end of the world audition 2020 scheduled in, but I've always wanted to go to one of those concerts that Seiyuus/artists perform in.

I understand that different events might have different rules, but if I were to try and go for a concert next time I'm in Japan, normally what kind of systems do they use in Japan for these events? How does someone overseas participate?

I believe the system is similar to the one that I've experienced for rock concerts, you pre-register for a lottery months ahead of time on one of the ticket companies site, if your number gets drawn on the drawing date, you can proceed to buy on the ticketing site.
