I do get shots when it gets too painful from time to time. The way it goes with me is that there are waves of pain for a few days that prevent any erection and then the pain recedes for a few days and my sex drive kicks back but if I yield to it I know I'm going to pay for it full price in the coming days.

As for body fat my metabolism doesn't allow for that. I can eat tons of cheese, cakes, meat, foie gras, anything, I stay slim no matter what.

I've been wondering the same thing everyday. Because god hates me and doesn't want me to be happy? Because I had just met a nice girl who's not going to want to be with me when I tell her of my condition, and even if by miracle she does I'll be too afraid to do anything with her owing to what happened? Because god has a sense of irony that's probably wickedly funny to him but rather lost on me? Good thing I don't even believe in him! (or is it her?)

I'd be curious to know whether the antibiotics were administered to him because there were still detectable traces of the bacteria that they couldn't get rid of through oral antibiotics or, like me, nothing was showing up in the tests anyway.
In my case I get my blood, semen and urine analysed twice a month and it's so residual that nothing comes up in the tests, I'm completely clean on paper but whatever is left is still enough to cause a lot of pain. The other theory is that I am indeed completely clean but the pain, anguish and stress have caused the pelvic muscle to contract (apparently it's a muscle that you cannot control), turning the bacterial prostatitis into something called chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
Either way I'm intrigued because the shots I get are painkillers and no doctor has suggested injecting antibiotics.

It's kinda difficult to know if it's bacterial or non-bacterial since there's definitely a bacterial infection triggering it at first. So even doctors disagree as to whether the ongoing pain is of muscular origin or due to bacteria still being present even if undetected by tests.

10 to 15% of men being affected at some point in their life in America, sounds like it's fairly common after all.

Yes, it seems that it's not only you. Thus it's better consult a urologist. If you are not satisfied with one, see another. Some doctors claim that the treatment for dysuria is effective even if you feel nothing wrong with your urination, which is the rationale for administering alpha-blockers for it. In the meantime, some doctors claim that antibiotics can be effective even without detecting bacteria from the body. Yes I've been to the urology department of three different big hospitals so I heard both sides of the argument regarding antibiotics.
Also got a GP at an international clinic to prescribe something to decrease libido, it seems to work so far.
I had been meaning to find ways to decrease my libido even before this thing happened to me so at least if I get better I would have learned something from the experience.

I read lots of depressing, asexual things but they're not tedious to me. The upside of all this as a matter of fact is that I'll spend more time reading and doing things I really like as opposed to pretending to be interested in girls pretending to be interested in me (the real motives being sex and money, respectively).

(the context of this message is I finally got around to explaining my situation to the aforementioned girl who said she's really sorry about that but by the way there's this puppy she just saw that looks really cute and could I give her 50,000 yens for it?)

I see that sometimes about hot baths and prostate massages but weirdly enough in my case they only makes things worse. I've been recommended acupuncture so I'll try that.

The average guy is pretty stupid to begin with and then half of us are even more stupid.

Add some promise of a fresh pussy in the picture and that not so high IQ drops at least 20 points more.

I've never fell for any of that because a. I never have feelings for girls and b. slightly less fresh (but free) pussy is not significantly less appealing to me. They mostly all look the same to me.

But the result is I've lived my whole life alone, which is fine by me but puts me under the constant strain of having to find new partners and what a fantastic waste of time it can be. So I'm not sure how smarter I am compared to the guy who just decided to go along with all the shit but can fuck on a regular basis.

According to the stories here and elsewhere those guys fuck on regular basis only because they do what Alice says and frequent those fine establishments.

You need to find girls (probably in plural) who appreciate the same fine things in life you do, in other words sex, and even if you still live alone you aren't alone.
