Are the women you're referring to Papuan? I ask because I myself don't find Papuan women, at least the ones I've seen as very attractive at all. Same with Australian Aborigines. Is that just a prejudice on my part? I've not actually traveled to that part of the world.Well, if you really want to know, here it is:
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is one of the few remaining countries in the world, where modern civilisation and 50,000+ years old tribal customs are exist along each other. A quick example:
Local custom to pay Bride Price for the father of the girl about to get married, or to the elder of the tribe. Of course in the past it was done by pigs, goats, rice, and sea shells as currency (some parts of PNG still using it). Nowadays, its more or less the same, with the difference of Toyota Landcruiser, thousands of Kina (local currency PGK) cash, pigs, goat, rice, etc. So far is not so much different from other countries customs. However, here paying Bride Price means one take ownership of the woman. He can do whatever he wants with her. If the new bride not fulfilling his desires or she humiliates him, he can take her back and request compensation. Of course that would bring shame to her family or tribe, so it is very likely that she would be killed. To avoid this, girls often run away. If that happens, usually the family sets up to 'hunt' her down, as she would still bring shame to the family.
Now I am not saying that this happens in every part of the country, but most part it is true.
Also, a very real custom - which probably has much more to do with us TAG members - is the custom of sexual intercourse.
Quite a few Aussie and other foreign worker experienced this first hand, and some even had a very, very short carrier because of this. Some families / tribes still follow the custom of first night spent together. Once a mane sleeps (having sex with penetration) with a local girl, he is married to her, and consequently responsible for her, for her close and extended family or tribe. Just an example:
I started working in Lae, Morobe Province in 2009. My other expatriate colleagues told me things to look out for and be aware of. Probably that is why I am still here and my genitals firmly attached to my body as it was since my birth.
One day a new expat manager showed up. He had a rather exciting arrival from Nadzab airport on the security bus, which was the subject of an attempted hold-up. Lucky for him, all of these buses carry shotgun onboard, so culprits were dispersed very quickly and no harm was done to passengers. Obviously he was rather shaken from this experience, so fellow expats offered him comfort by taking him to the Yacht Club for a few drinks, after work. He could use the drink of course so he went.
One drink after another, they were talking and drinking well into the night, and ended up moving the 'comforting' to a nearby night club / disco. Story does not say whether or not he was aware of the above mentioned rule, but he ended up taking one of the local girl to his accommodation. They have spent the night together, and he had the time of his life - a few times as he said - then sent the girl home so he can sleep a few hours before leaving for work on his first day.
As he woke up in the morning, security guards of the compound knocked on his door to tell him, that a small crowd is outside and expecting to have a word with him. This small crowd happened to be the girls family and tribe, armed with spears, bush-knives, pipes, stick, and whatever they found on the way. They demanded him to pay the Bride Price and have the girl moved in with him immediately.
He was not really keen to do that, since his wife and kids were back in Aussie, and probably would not be too happy to find out, that he is also married here. So he rang the owner of the company, who served him with a mouthful, and organised a security bus to pick him up just before the airplane departure time, and had him out of the country, before the tribe can organise themselves to follow him.
He returned to his family within 24 hours of his departure from home. Did not spent a minute in his new position, and I can only guess what he had to say to his mrs when he got home!
Outside of p4p how do you feel about if? The draconian laws scare me. What are major attractions to spending a week or two in Singapore, outside P4p?One of my main experiences outside Japan was a few days in Singapore. Singapore is kind of in the middle when it comes to P4P. It's certainly cheaper than Japan, and usually cheaper than the US with quite a bit of variety. The nice thing about Singapore (although hotel/housing is quite a bit more expensive) compared to, say, Thailand is that Singapore is very safe and if you know how to behave and know the rules you aren't likely to have any problems.
While I was there, aside from doing a bunch of touristy stuff and especially visiting as many hawkers centres as I could, I wanted to spend some time with a few different pros.
P4P is perfectly legal in specific Red Light Districts in Singapore -- Geylang being the main one. To my knowledge, the Singapore gov't even approves visas for this purpose, since there's a large number of Chinese and other women working in these districts that are there under nominal government supervision (licensing, STD tests, etc). There's also a significant amount of illegal P4P action that happens as well, either streetwalking (also in Geylang and other districts), nightclubs (the infamous Orchard Towers "4 floors of whores"), or in-call apartments. Given that Singapore is at the crossroads of South Asia, you can name pretty much any kind of woman, and you can find it in Singapore, although the vast majority are going to be Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese.
There's so much action in Singapore that while I was very happy with the women I saw, I also regretted not having more time. In the middle of the day, I went to one of the official Chinese brothels in Geylang, which was in a fairly dilapidated building. The boss spoke some English, but the Chinese woman didn't really speak English at all. Fairly typical script, and although she had the illusion of passion of a doctor telling me to turn my head and cough, she was attractive enough and had good enough skills that there were no problems with my experience. There's not a subway station really close by to that district and not many cabs drive around there during the day, so I hoofed it back to the subway station. Geylang is a little weird because the blocks one side of Geylang Rd, it's shops and restaurants, and on the other side it's all whorehouses, and there tends to be a lot of young freelance women loitering on both sides of the road trying to drum up some business. On my way back to the station, this pretty young thing made eye contact with me and gave me a smile that nearly made my knees buckle. I smiled back and waved, and thought if only I was a younger man...
I also saw a few Thai women at the in-call places (officially illegal in Singapore) -- interestingly, considering so much of Singapore is living in government sponsored housing, these in-calls were all in quite upscale apartment buildings. My last day there, I saw this beautiful Thai woman at one of the places. Super-cute face and a slim but curvy body that looked great in the tube dress with a plunging neckline she answered the door in. She was on the opposite end of the jaded scale from the Chinese woman I'd seen previously. I'm very used to Korean in-call places in the States where they are very careful about shielding customers from other women working there, but this place didn't really seem to care. It was either a slow day, or they were careful to shield me from other customers, but the other women there had no problem coming out of their rooms (in various levels of undress) to say hey, or to come in to the bathroom to touch up their makeup while I was in the (totally translucent) shower. The girl I was with was the hottest one there, so I wasn't too tempted, but it was pretty amusing.
After the fun behind closed doors, I left the apartment on my way back to the hotel, as I had to pack to get ready for the airport. I was in a cab on the way back when I got a phone call from the agency operator saying that my new friend had called, and I had left my (very expensive) sunglasses at her place. So I went all the way back, went up to the apartment and knocked on the door. My new friend opened the door again in the same tube dress, but with my sunglasses clipped to the plunging neckline framed by her cleavage with this pouty pose and look on her face. Again I thought "if only I was a younger man...and had a lot more time." I reclaimed my sunglasses, gave her a big hug, and headed back to my hotel.
I have a lot more of Asia to visit, but if I have an excuse to get back to Singapore, I'll definitely go. I think its harder to pick up 'civilians' in Singapore compared to Japan, but for P4P action it was like being a kid in a candy store for me.
But of course. And I do agree, PNG girls are hard to desire. Very few attracting one around, and if you find one, you can be sure she is already been taken by an expat. If not, you should act quick. Like I did with my current WAC ( Wife Approved Companion or Cocksucker). I saw her in a takeaway/restaurant one day where I was a regular, and asked the girls who she was, and who is she with. They said no one. Same day text exchange, next day dinner and BBBJ in the car on the way home. Done. Since then she improved a lot, as she admitted, she has never done such thing before. And that is probably true. Are the women you're referring to Papuan? I ask because I myself don't find Papuan women, at least the ones I've seen as very attractive at all. Also great story. Glad the guy didn't get lynched by an angry mob.
Definitely a tale. What is the major appeal of the women there? But of course. And I do agree, PNG girls are hard to desire. Anyway...
Since any form of prostitution is illegal in PNG, there are no competitors for the locals, and even them doing this "unprofessionally". I am often approached by local girls - mainly because they don't see my wedding ring, secondly because I am one of the youngest expat around here with my 37 years of age - just to offer themselves as girlfriend, wife, hausmeri (cleaning lady - like house keeper, except it is much worse ) or anything, just get some cash and have the chance to be close to a 'whiteman' that might result in some financial advantage.
Most girls simply doing 'whiteman', because of cultural reasons. Very few local guys see woman as equal or anything near. Not to mention that expats can earn 10-15 fold compare to locals, sometimes even more, and for them girl this is a great drive. If you look around and see expats around 65-70 walking on the street, you can be sure he is married to a local girl. Most of the older guys here either live here with a local woman, who once was a gorgeous young girl and they fall in love with, or they live in Aussie and most likely to be married to a Phillipina women. I never heard anyone being married to a PNG woman and living in Aussie though.
Back to the girls - sorry, my mind is like this. Girls approaching in bars or clubs are often show up in packs. They try and find out which one of them you like. That one will harass you for the rest of the night, to get drinks out of you for the rest of the group too. Sadly, there are more packs around, and happens to turn the whole thing into a small brawl.
Once in Lae, Morobe Province in the club called The Place - ceased operation - an Aussie mate and I went for a drink. Paid K50 (AUD25) for the VIP section, which was exactly the same as the rest of the club, except it had a little bar kind of thing across, that separated us from the rest of the crowd and a small entry gap with a muscly security guard. It also had its own bar, where drinks were slightly dearer. Once we got our drinks, we sat at this bar kind of thing, which is nothing more than a plank between the two post holding the roof. As we sat, girl from the non-VIP started to stalk us, very visually. Girls were dancing like practicing strip dancers. It was funny, because they could not put two moves together so they only did one at the time and minutes later another different one, that made men think they can actually dance if they want to. But they don't
Anyway, not long before I got a few bottle of beers for one of the group, and my friend unknowingly ordered another set of beers for another group. What happened after this, is hilarious. One girl from both groups came to us to thank us for the drinks, only realising that once they were very close. Then the shitstorm of words unleashed and almost got into physical, when from out of nowhere the mothers showed up and started calling each-others' daughters a whore. They did get physical. Mothers were like lionesses protecting their cubs. My mate and I were stunned by the events and started laughing. As security moved the punching mothers and few daughters away, a few girls from the same group escaped the guards and got back to us for more drinks.
I do not know what would have happened of any of us would have picked up chicks from this group, but I do know, that my stupid friend went back the next day and indeed got a girl, took her home, shagged her six times - I doubt that - and got the BBBJCIM of his life. After that of course he got the scare of his life, when I told him how stupid and irresponsible he was. These girls have all sorts of diseases and quite a lot is HIV/AIDS carrier as the never used protection. This bloke might had a good night, but he was scared shitless for the next six months as he was going to a clinic every month to check if he got something from the girl.
To be continued...

Sounds like the Phillipines were not such a bad place to grow up! While you were having a blast I was probably getting my ass kicked in the motor city.Hi. This is going to be a series of posts.
Before I start, I'd like to give a brief background of myself. I grew up in 3 different countries over the years due to my parents' work.
My mother was an Agri-Bioresearcher my father a Red Cross Aid worker.
As a family we've been quite around SE Asia and I'm lucky to have experienced so many cultures.
I have to advise you that YMMV. These are generally what I got to experience.
Without further ado let's begin shall we?
Philippines
I spent my early years in the Philippines. I went to high-school there and got to experience the quirky ins and outs of both Manila and it's tourist spots down south.
When it comes to women, Filipinas (correct term?) are very charming and lovable. There is a certain demeanor and mystique that I can't put into words when describing them.
Being a Catholic country there are certain norms you had to observe. But the gist of it is that being a gentleman goes a long way.
Most of the girls I dated had to be "courted" in a traditional sense. Take note that "courted"can mean different things to diff cultures.
In the Philippines I believe the system was you had to be formally introduced to the girl through a common acquaintance.
You would go on a series of dates to gauge your compatibility and it would go from there.
One relationship I really treasure was in high-school (take note HS is 4 years in the Philippines and you start at 12 or 13 yrs old).
Her name was Mia. We were young and headstrong back then. We started out hating each other due to a difference in schoolwork habits (I waited at the last minute to accomplish tasks, she was task and list-oriented).
Needless to say it was raining one afternoon as usual and I messed up my end of a group project. She was so pissed that she chased me through the rain and into the classrooms.
We stopped when we realized how silly we looked and how wet we were. To this day I'll never forget the image of a prim and proper girl with short-hair soaked wet and I could see her bra.
We became good friends after that and went on several dates. We found out we had a lot in common and started going steady.
Mia was also my first. It was quite amusing really. We went on a school-trip and had to go camping on the beach. But there were only a few cottages and not all got to sleep in beds.
My sleeping tent/bag was left on the boat and it would return the next day. I had to share the tent with Mia. She said that I deliberately left my bag to be in this situation.
This was one of the times when I actually forgot and no-one believed me.
It was cold. But kinda romantic. The waves of the sea crashing on the beach kinda put us in the mood. It started out as frisky. Just a little tickling and teasing.
Then when we couldnt handle it anymore I grabbed her and rested her on top of me. We gave each other the longest most passionate kiss we ever had. Wet, hot, tight. We were breathing heavily.
After a few solid minutes of kissing we were panting. It got heated and we finally got into the act.
I put my hand into her panties and rubbed her peach. I took her hand and placed it onto my length. We stroked and rubbed each other for about 10 mins. We were semi-clothed and I finally entered her.
I used a condom which she caused her to say"You definitely planned this!" I said no. I just carry one always in the event hehe.
She rode me and we were trying really hard to muffle the sounds of our moaning. Fortunately, the others were drinking and listening to rock music.
The next morning we acted as if nothing happened. Everyone else was none the wiser.
We mutually broke-up before going to college. It was pretty expected really. She was going to Canada and I was going to Australia. We still keep in touch though and hook up once in awhile.
To this day I havent had a serious relationship like what we had. She jokingly said that we might end up marrying each other if we're still single in our 30s. well 6 years more to go.
I'm sorry this took too long, Next time I'll take you to Australia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore.
Sounds neat. What are prices like relative to Japan/UK/Euro/U.S/ Aus/NZ ?Some good questions. I'd say a long weekend or maybe a 7-10 day trip would be enough to see a lot of Singapore, but it really depends on what you are interested in outside P4P. It's a really small country. I'd say the major tourist attractions outside P4P are the food, the food, and the food. No seriously, besides the food, there's the Marina Bay area (where the Marina Bay Sands and the largest Merlion is), the various cultures that have taken root there due to being a crossroads, and there's some pretty neat architecture there. I was only there for like 4 days, and it depends on your various appetites.
I'd looked at spending some time working in Singapore several years ago, and I'm kind of glad I didn't. It's 1 degree off the equator, which means it's like 30 degrees C and 80+ percent humidity every day, all year round. Tokyo's bad enough for the 2-3 months where it's super-humid, but unless you can afford taxis every day in Singapore it's pretty bad times.
As far as the draconian laws, they didn't really bother me that much. I think Singapore is certainly a surveillance society, much like many modern cities are (London, NYC, Tokyo, etc), but I didn't see a huge police presence, and since I wasn't eating durian fruit on the subway I never was accosted and questioned by the Singaporean police.
I think if you are looking for safety, variety, and relative inexpensiveness in your P4P, Singapore is a good place to spend a little time.
Sounds neat. What are prices like relative to Japan/UK/Euro/U.S/ Aus/NZ ?
I'm ignorant regarding Singapore'a history. Is there a significant element of Indian or British in the culture, or is it more of just a Chinese/Malay mix?
What about the attitudes of the people? I've heard a lot of negativity- the people are rude, pushy, etc. but having never been I can't judge. In terms of vacationing, it's probably as cheap or cheaper than Tokyo, even if you want a decent hotel. I think I paid under US$100 a night for my room. Food can be extremely cheap if you eat at hawker centres, but of course with any large city there's some really nice restaurants as well. The subway is very affordable, and taxis aren't extortionate.
There's 4 official languages in Singapore- English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil (an Indian language). Because it's at a crossroads of south Asia, it's long been a melting pot of different cultures. You can walk past a Hindu Temple, and then see a mosque on the same street and then see a Buddhist Temple. It's all pretty cool. The British influence comes in because the British Empire was heavily involved in Singapore and Malaysia for a few hundred years (the Singapore trading post was founded by a British guy in 1819), and it was British territory until their independence. That's another really nice thing about Singapore vs Japan, is that with English being an official language, it's widely spoken so there's no language hurdles to get over.
What about the attitudes of the people? I've heard a lot of negativity- the people are rude, pushy, etc. but having never been I can't judge.
Definitely. Like to hear about Taiwan.Hello GoldenDalton.
Is this still active yet? I plan to share my trip to Taiwan a few years ago. Hehe
Definitely. Like to hear about Taiwan.
That sounds awesome.Taiwan
I've been to Taiwan this year and can vouch that it's P4P scene is cheaper and arguably better than Japan.
Check out this area- Lane 105, Section 1, Zhongshan North Rd, Zhongshan District Taipei City. Go in front of the restaurant with the number- 022 523 7581 (or have a Taiwanese call them for directions) You are then in the area you want to be.
1. Taiwanese have the good part of the Japanese vibe, without the negative part of being overly shy, too xenophobic, or overly paranoid around foreigners or other races of people.
Taipei is tourist friendly and they recognize the importance of international relationships. Many Taiwanese can speak some English, and you can even find some that speak Japanese.
I had several fun conversations in Japanese only with several Taiwanese.
2. Taiwanese do hostess bars correctly.
In Japan, many of the hostess bars straight up rip guys off with expensive drinks and a long list of scams. The guys then leave out missing hundreds of dollars (50,000 yen in the hole is easy) and nothing to show for it but puking in the street and lonely. And there is a whole maze of tricks and scams if the guy wants the lady he is talking to, like meeting her for lunch and ludicrously taking her shopping. Younger Japanese guys are not falling for this as much, but still...
Where in Taiwan, you go to a hostess bar and have drinks with multiple ladies. You then choose which lady you like. Many will be well built good looking young women.
The price of the drinks and bottles are reasonable. Easily under 5,000 yen (50 dollars) for hours of drinking if you like, and as equally inexpensive as any night out drinking at a regular bar.
If you choose, you can tell the lady in which you are talking to what your hotel number is and where it's located. After the hostess bar closes (many close around 1am) or after she gets off, she can then visit your hotel room. 20,000 yen (200 US dollars) for 2 hours or until morning, depending on the lady and place, for everything. Also, you then can schedule days with the woman directly any time after that.
You can get drunk and happy, and receive excellent delivery service. Cheaper than that can be had as well, but referring to good bars.
