So « seriously » her business idea is to create an app where it would be as easy to find an escort as on Uber, like any girl closest to your place arrives within 5mn, all the payments etc are handled automatically . I told her that unlike Uber the client usually cares about how the « driver » looks and various services that can be provided besides just getting you to the goal, but she still thinks there would be a market for that.

Did you act shocked! Maybe as her mentor you can advise her to invest in to things she knows and understands .....Uber Lawyer perhaps? Very risky to venture into business fields she knows absolutely nothing about! ;)

Sounds like your "pops" ratio is charting around Omotesando rather than Gotanda!:LOL: Maybe you had better hit Watsons and stock up on some Durex goodies, then get to work on the pops ratio...try and bring the pops train as close as you can to Gotanda....Meguro or Ebisu at least. I know we’re just taking this light-heartedly, but it’s not that there’s no market for it - it’s more that such a service/application would be illegal in pretty much every jurisdiction where it would see a good install base. Just look at the way SA has had to change its wording and pare everything down as harshly as possible in order to avoid trouble with the law — and how it still ended up getting removed from app stores because Apple didn’t want to touch that shit with a ten-foot pole.

Build an app like she’s suggesting and no doubt the police will be at her door pretty soon.

Yeah, good points!. But maybe its possible in the land of Oz, who knows. She studies law and marketing there, so can certainly discuss the project with more capable persons than me

Thank you for your pointing out. After I posted it, I felt that I should have mentioned a caveat - my experience was on short-term sugar relationships about 2 to 4 weeks during my visits to Japan. Furthermore, mine were mostly non-Japanese long-term travelers or exchange students whom I met through SA. My apologies for generalization.

Yeah, 50k is not going to be something long term unless you plan to give all your money away. If I don't have a SB available due to scheduling and I want an untimed date leading to a hotel after, I'll offer ¥50k for a once in a while type thing.

For my long term SBs (I have 2), I meet twice a week at ¥30,000 per week plus dinners, hotel, and trips. Anyone that offered ¥50k, I just started to ignore as it's a little high for long term. I have a summer trip I'm planning with one SB right now and I'll do a fall trip with the other SB.

All the expenses do add up, especially when I throw a gift in there from time to time. Trips are not cheap either, but it's worth it if the schedules match.

It also takes a lot of time and a lot of first meet dates to find the ones you connect with. That can be a challenge in itself. Just got to take your time and not rush.

This was roughly my experience as an SB as well. Not using SA anymore though, annoying to use as we all know.
Thats super weird that you showed her the way to her other date though, haha! Funny but kind of a bad impression i guess.

Meeting twice a week is a lot though.
I think once or twice a month or once a week if very serious are more common arrangements.

Yes, that is true (for some). It's not every twice a week every time (my work is usually tough for that schedule), but at least 5 or 6 times a month (sometimes more if I'm not on business trips). I proposed once a week, but they both didn't mind twice a week when available. Since I go on business trips every other month, one week may not be available.

In hindsight, yes, it's weird, but then it somehow boosted my ego. She was incredibly honest (or so I thought...) and I was very much happy about it.
