Mmm I wrote one of my seminal papers, which actually got published on the Japanese economy.

I'd upload it but would rather not like to get my real identity leaked, and am in fact being vague on what part of it for that reason.

But if we get a 1991/92 event the world as we know it would change drastically. Sadly everyone is tied to America.

Thus I highly hope dependence on America is slowly (or quickly) cut off.

Give it to them. We aren't good stewards of shit and they always vote red anyways. The fact a state with a population smaller than my home city has 3 votes in the EV is such a joke anyways- and gives the GOP an advantage in the Senate.

I often like to say America is the modern democracy beta test. After Venice, the Polish (Noble) Sejm and many others we were the first modern democracy.

But in so doing we made a LOT of mistakes not knowing how it would pan out long term, and so all the democracies that came after us learned from our mistakes. It's clear from how disfunctional we are even compared to places like France which is on their Fifth? Sixth? Republic since our first one was founded.

Nonetheless we for some reason think the Founders (many of whom owned slaves) were infallible and in so doing continue to make a 250 year old system work.

Sure, they're basically the same mindset of people in northern BC and the Yukon already. Never understood why they all tend to vote red. They distrust the federal government, love marijuana, and enjoy nature - they're practically a bunch of hippies already.

Second: he did mention Canada and Mexico in a second EO. They will be getting tariffed on everything not in the USMCA + 25% auto tariff and some "other" things too. But he didn't include them with the rest for some reason.

His list with the comparison between what they tariff us and what we tariff them was, as expected, bogus. It was literally just them doing math on the trade deficit and saying they tariffed us based on how tilted the trade deficit was.

And of course all the MAGA back home are eating this up and saying it is just going to be "transitional pain for long term success." We are so fucked man.

I think the key is that the Senate introduced a bill to remove Canada tariffs meaning it needs to pass the House, pass Trump veto, and then pass 2/3rds Senate vote. So basically a 'safe' move for at risk R senators.

It's actually a meme country from a video game company- the country of polar bears because it's, in reality, uninhabitable besides a small work crew.

There are rumors the entire list- and calculations were done with ChatGPT and at this point I believe it. It's mixing in real and fake countries. It's literally just an island of Norway- like saying we are tariffing some tiny island off Haiwaii but not the rest (because at this point I wouldn't be half surprised if he tried).

Important to know this "charges" number is completely fabricated. It's not based on actual tariffs or barriers, it's just based on the trade deficit between the U.S. and the country listed under the insane assumption that a trade deficit means the country is "cheating"

Yep that's what I was talking about with the formula they used. They lied about easily verifiable facts.

And the maga family I know insist that what he says is true and the provable facts are wrong.

The economy is going to crash to 0 and they'll say it's all fine because orange bronze dude says it's all okay.
