Now that I am back in the game, I was getting out that trusty old package of Viagra, but I notice the pills are 2 years post expiry date.
Does that really matter? I mean, it is a dry substance, and not really that chemically active. Anybody knows for sure?

Well, I am back from my date, and I can answer my own question. 2 years post expiry date definitely WORKS. Of course, the girl alone (young and super-cute) alone was a big stimulant in itself, but I definitely noticed the extra Viagra push, especially for the second shot. Without it, it would have taken a lot longer to get the little guy stand at attention.

In the event, I feel I must pat myself on the shoulder. Barely back in the game, and found myself a phantastic sex friend. And from the first friggin Keijiban post that I replied to!

Guess I should buy some lottery tickets today, it feels like my lucky day.

Disclaimer: Not official medical advice!

Usually, the expiration date is used to indicate when the medication would start losing its potency. (no pun intended. :) ) In other cases it's just used to make sure stores rotate their stock correctly. Not that anyone would recommend taking 10 year old medicine, but excepting some potent medicines, it's generally okay to take medicine past the expiration date. Because, you know what? That expired medicine that isn't sold or consumed tends to wind up in 3rd world countries.

Viagra in particular --- I've heard of people keeping it stored and slowly using it over years, so sounds safe enough.

Glad it worked out for you in any case.

That leaves another question: How do you find out if it had expired when not from the original container? You mix the capsule in some solution and look at it's color?

I have no need for Viagra... yet but I used a small packege once for fun. I remember everything turned purple/pink and that I was genki for 24hs straight. Kinda "hard" to walk around the city with your Johnny standing all the time. I remember I got those pills from the "ura" market through a friend so of course, the container wasn't the original box. I once thought about going to get more but I kinda feel ashame to ask my neighbour doctor in case he starts to talk by accident so I didn't go to buy.

That has got to be pointless, since sildefanil is colorless. If you don´t have the package, it is a gamble, nothing you can do about that.

Oh boy, you must have WAY overdosed. How many mg was your "small package"? What you describe is actually dangerous. If your hard-on last for a whole day non-stop you really should go to a hospital, even though the condition is a bit, err, awkward to describe in the emergency room.

Yes, only afterwards I learnt that there are of many different milligrams.

If you are young and really don´t need Viagra, you should take the smallest unit (25 mg) and cut it in half.
That will turn into superman already, without forcing you to walk bow-legged for a whole day.

Somehow, from your description, I suspect you swallowed the largest pill (100 mg). That is absolutely not meant for you. Well, I guess you learned the "hard way"...

The small package I got only had 4 pills and dont remember the miligrams. 2 I used in different ocassions with weeks in between, but the last 2 I used 1 and the last one the next day...more dangerous... the last time I used was years ago...Does what I did in the past leave any kind of residual effect? Should I still visit a doctor for real? Im into physical training now (Gym - Body Building) and several of my partners use BCAA and Glutamine... The mix could explode?

I am not a doctor, but if your little overdosing misadventure was years ago and you are OK now it is obvious that there was no damage done. About possible drug interactions with bodybuilding chemicals, you really have to ask a professional. Different chemicals can interact in some funny ways.

Yeah, if both were to interact in the same place, everybody would be at gym LOL.

My understanding is that you can´t get them over the counter here. You need to see a doctor and get a prescription.
By the way, what is the difference between those two? I have only ever tried Viagra, and luckily 25 mg is all I need to be perfectly genki, but I talked to a Japanese guy in a bar the other day, and he more or less claimed that Viagra is lame, and Levitra is it. Is there really a big difference between the chemicals?

I have not used Viagra so obviously not in a position to comment about that. But I have tried Levitra couple of times only for fun sake since I was seeing a new gf and definitely wanted to impress her and as my friend suggested "send her to heaven" by staying rock hard for a very long time. I take little long to get ready for second time but Levitra did the magic without my partner struggling to wake him up. I used it few months back before coming to Tokyo, therefore searching for it.

As far as I know Viagra, Levitra and Cialis can only be obtained with a prescription or directly from a doctor with a consultation in Japan.

I load up on Viagra when I go to Thailand (where you get whatever chemical you want in any pharmacy). The only thing to watch out for there is that if the price is too low, chances are you are getting some copycat product made in some backyard factory in India or so, so you might have issues with quality control. If you pay the full price, you can get the real Western products. Anyway, nobody in SE cares about about rules and red tape.

Very odd this site doesn't have more threads relating to men's issues, such as erectile dysfunction and the related performance anxiety.

A major difference between Viagra and Levitra, is that you can drink alcohol with Levitra.

Drinking alcohol with Viagra and Cialis is dangerous. The more alcohol, the more dangerous and possibility of adverse affects.

Not just buying in Thailand is dangerous, but ordering from unapproved and unaccredited overseas pharmacies is dangerous. The drugs can be fake or manufactured in dangerous conditions and contain impurities or unapproved ingredients.

FYI you can get legit Viagra from any Shanghai Pharmacy in Taiwan without a prescription. They only have 25 and 50mg doses, which should be enough for anyone.

But here's the thing though, as I mentioned in the other Erectile Dysfunction thread that was locked up for "white knight political reasons", prescription ED drugs can be dangerous.

1) Some people can be negatively and adversely affected by ED drugs.

2) They are unnatural substances that are disrupting your cardiovascular system.

This disruption can be having unknown negative effects that are not immediately obvious, but repeated use of the drug can be doing long term damage.

3) They don't solve the root problem in many erectile dysfunction cases, which are psychologically based and not physical.

Many men are trying to throw drugs at the problem, instead of looking at how they are sexually interacting with women or natural alternatives.

4) There are natural alternatives.

Speaking of nature alternatives to Viagra or Cialis:

1) Garlic and L-citrullene together

They increase blood flow in the body, and L-citrullene increases nitric oxide production (nitric oxide is used by the body to cause erections).

As a swinger, can absolutely vouch for the effectiveness of this natural combination.

2,000mg of odorless GNC garlic in the capsule (4x 500mg (capsules better than tablets)) and 3,000mg of L-Citrullene by NOW (4x 750mg capsules).

Effect will last 12 hours and increase firmness of morning erections too. Drink with no salt tomato juice, as will eliminate any residual garlic odor and stomach irritation. Plus lycopene in tomato juice is a cardiovascular supporter as well.

2) Vitamin C and Zinc

Used by body to increase sperm production. Which indirectly increases the frequency and likelihood of getting an erection.

3) Horny Goat Weed, Icariin.

Icariin is the active ingredient in Horny Goat and does the EXACT same thing as Viagra, except it is natural and is actually good for your liver.

The only downside is you want to get at least 50% pure Icariin and need to take a lot more of it than Viagra, because it's weaker. You would need to take an equivalent dose of 1,500mg of Icariin to equal 25mg of Viagra. Price wise, they are actually the same.

People have mixed success with this, because they are not getting the more purified form or are getting scammed with fakes by frauds. But does work, if you can get your hands on the real stuff. Garlic and L-Citrullene works so well for me, that don't use Icariin, but some of my pals do.

And more effective modified versions of Icariin could actually compete with Viagra. Rumor has it that pharmaceutical companies are blocking it's development and release as a competing product.

Thin ice, my friend. It was not locked for white knighting. It was locked because your comments would have incited a flame war. We want to attract new readers not push them away.

Not a doctor either, but I was around the pros. At the time of taking synthetics and the like, your body will immediately react if it's bad for. But that's not the scary part. The scary part is the mixes that do not trigger anything but do unseen damage. I've had three friends suddenly die from heart attacks. My other friends and I have discussed the possibility of these heart attacks being from our early years of being gym rats. My advice would be to get checked out. It wouldn't hurt. I lean towards doing everything natural now.

Totally agree on the natural route, unless you have no alternative or an emergency. A lot of drug companies don't give a damn about anything but profits. Many drugs that were approved as safe, are found NOT to be in the future, and after a load of dead bodies.

If the ED problem is psychological and performance anxiety, not a physical or cardiovascular problem, would strongly suggest:

. Re-evaluate the sexual relationship or style of sex you are having with the woman you are with. You might need to have that long overdue talk or change women.

. Definitely try natural alternatives.

Gym

Going to the gym isn't bad for you, it can be rather good for you. Proper exercise and maintaining the proper weight is good for the heart.

It's more horrible protein only and meat diets that clog up arteries or focusing on only weight lifting and not endurance. Plus steriods, growth hormone, and all kinds of vain and unnecessary stuff are not helpful either.

Agree on getting physicals and checkups. Better to find things early. Things like walking around with undiagnosed high blood pressure can sneak up on you.

What did your first consultation go over? What test or things did they check?
They just ask about your medical history. And then they explain the pros and cons of each brand and how to use it and potential side effects. There is no physical exam. You just pick the brand and strength of dosage and off you go! They will give you an ID card so that you can get speed through the process when you return for refills.
