Tbf, they usually mention China and taiwan, and some SEA countries as being small, more often than Japanese. Whats your take on those ethnic groups?
 
My sample size for those groups is much smaller compared to Japan, but in my experience Chinese guys actually tend to be packing quite a lot.

That 18 cm is actually just about the average size of guys who perform in porn movies. Camera angles and tiny framed girls are used to give a different perspective for marketing purposes.

I think if you usually need bigger condoms and/ or had some girls have trouble fitting it in in the past, a warning doesn't hurt. I don't think it's embarrassing if you are a bit above average but the girl can still easily handle it, better safe than sorry

I'm definitely a girth>length type person. Sometimes if a guy is too long it can hit your cervix which is quite unpleasant (although I have heard some people like this). But too much girth can also cause a lot of friction if you're going at it for awhile, so like Alice said, lube is necessary. It also can depend on my mood and where I am in my cycle. My most sensitive spots shift where they are (in terms of depth), depending on my cycle, so sometimes longer can feel better if they're further in.

Getting poked in the cervix is the most common reason why the girls (the ones I asked) told me they prefer girth over length.

Exactly. Really not a good reasoning. That could possibly hurt like hell and they apply that lube for a reason (though I can see how excessive lube can be really annoying).
Sure, it might sound gross to specifically address your dick the moment you chat a girl up, but better safe than sorry to be sure they will be able to handle it when you actually meet.

I don't remember which particular size study it was but in my Sexual Psychology class I took in college many many years ago it was mentioned that a couple of them were heavily flawed. One of them just took sizes by asking people to come into a tent/room at the beach so they could measure. Another asked for self-reports without clarifying where to start measuring from.

Just goes to show guys they have met don't know how to handle their tools. Though it applies to smaller guys too, you don't have to be big to make it hurt if you don't know what you are doing.

The packaging is in Japanese, so they're probably just waiting on government red tape to start sales in Japan. Condoms are medical devices here and require approval by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). I'll have to saunter over and see if they're looking for testers...
