We are a foreign couple that doesn’t speak Japanese. When we buzzed the place a man slightly opened the door And said no customers,a peddler following us that trying to get us to other clubs said what he means is it’s empty. This was a Thursday around 21:00. Did we just get rejected from entering or do they have dead nights where they turn people away?

This happened to me as well once on a monday night. They said it was empty and turned us away. Not sure how they will get it full if they turn everyone away because its empty. But seems honest and legit, not a way to get rid of people. Weekdays can be pretty dead.

If it’s dead, they did you a favor so you didn’t blow your money.

true but if it's empty at 21:00 on a week day they really did them a favour
