They'd have better luck with a picture of Eimi....Most PCR tests in Japan are saliva-based though. They show a picture of lemon, expecting us to play a doggy Pavlov.

I'm not sure if only saliva would flow being exposed to a picture of her.
Sorry, man, but Miran stopped escorting a few months ago.with a little luck I may be getting that magical poke soon
My second dose of Moderna is this Saturday so will be taking monday off as a sick day just in case.I'm sure you'll all be absolutely elated to know that I've managed to score a spot for myself and the other half on a vaccination waiting list and could--IN THEORY--be vaccinated by this weekend. Not counting on it, but with a little luck I may be getting that magical poke soon.
Just FYI, since Japan is finally vaccinating and some of you may have the opportunity sometime in the next few months (or years), a number of my relatives have received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, including three of my younger cousins and a number of friends work in various medical fields, and the younger folks are almost all reporting pretty significant side effects from the 2nd dose. Some have reported being absolutely knocked on their asses for one or even two full days, with one cousin experiencing such severe side effects (fever, body aches, fatigue) that he thought he might've actually caught COVID until they just mysteriously disappeared the following day. But of course if you believe the experts, the side effects are a sign that the vaccine is doing it's job properly, and you should be more concerned if you don't experience anything.
In any event, if you are lucky enough to get vaccinated and it's an mRNA variant then it might be worth taking a day or two off in advance before getting the second shot.
This is what I keep telling people. Be more concerned if you have no side effects, then at least you’re sure you didn’t get injected with only normal saline. Lol.the side effects are a sign that the vaccine is doing it's job properly, and you should be more concerned if you don't experience anything.
It’s so interesting how much like crap you can feel only for it to miraculously just stop feeling like crap the following day. Some have reported being absolutely knocked on their asses for one or even two full days, with one cousin experiencing such severe side effects (fever, body aches, fatigue) that he thought he might've actually caught COVID until they just mysteriously disappeared the following day

Yeah, that 2nd dose is a doozy. Didn’t seem to do anything right after I received it, but the next two days whoooooh.
Congrats on getting a spot on the vaccine list. I just need find a way to get my wife on that list asap, cause she’s the one with the weaker immune system.
